I have to say I am really not pleased with what I have witnessed lately. I mean...I have never been 100% happy with the quality of care but in Greencastle pickins are slim for childcare. The food and snacks are not very healthy and cheap. They are out of ratio frequently and putting children who are 2-3 years older into lower classes so they don't need as much staff. I think this is ok for a little bit at the end of the day or morning, but all day...not acceptable. Recently one teacher who left before under suspicious means (such as being asked to resign because she was physically abusing children and that is documented) recently came back to the center for the evenings. She is mean and rough with the kids. My daughters are personally afraid of her and ask me to pick them up so they don't have to be in with her at the end of the day. The Owner is as fake as they come. She will tell you one thing with a smile on her face then do another. Anyone who can look you in the eye and lie is not someone I want my child learning from. She also tries to screw you out of money and your vacation days. On 3 different occasions she has tried to double charge me for weeks. I have had to show the canceled check and my bank statment to prove to her that I had already paid. I have heard this is not happening to just me. Unfortunately...some of the people were too naive and trusting and repaid her only to be still waiting for a refund or credit. I also think this center is dirty and they break many of the standard that are in place for centers. I am current looking for another place to get my children. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. I can't leave my girls here any longer. I hope people listen to my warning. I have seen too much happen here and don't find it safe for children.

Its a shame that many staff members at this center will just look away when a child is getting mistreated and then LIE to DPW when questioned.

It is a shame that people use these sites to bash and bad mouth, I wonder how many even real people, I bet most are fictious names. These public forums are just for trash talk, the real record about a childcare facility can be found on the DPW website. This Center has never had a health or safety violation according to the Department of Public Welfare. Other facilities have been found guilty of health and safety violations, not this one.
