Green Bay Trophy Fishing

I've seen all the positive reviews which lead to my family chartering. (Brother in law, My father, and Myself) all avid fishermen, my brother in law paid for this trip as a early Christmas present for my father and I.

However, I did not respect Lon as he did not respect us. I felt as if we were all children on his boat. We fished the fox river, as most fishermen know the river has snags. Sometimes a lot of snags. Lon provided the tackle and fishing poles as a part of our adventure.

Awesome boat, he showed up late. We were too excited to worry about him being late.

10mins in, we get to the spot on the dam. All lines are in the water. He shows us a new Technique. We are already catching walleye but
snagged on the rocks first cast snapping our jigs off unfortunately.

Snags continue, Lon no longer kept his cool, he started to throw a tantrum and telling us how we have lost more jigs than any other charter.

I asked him if I could donate/ replenish the jigs that we lost. He was friendly and said no, the snags are not our fault. Simply the rock.

1-2 hours later, Snags continue even moving positions.

At this point he starts to operate the boat towards the snags so we can release them from the rocks. 360 degrees around the rocks I cannot unsnag, at this point the Jig will become missing in action. Lon does not accept this, instead the line gets tangled around his trolling motor. I'm continuing to tell him that we need to snap the line off before it gets worse. He insists that it needs to be freed. At this point my fingers become bloody since the line is slicing through the skin on my fingers.

I'm told that I'm " in timeout and can't fish". I'm 28, manage a warehouse with 20 employees. Lon has lost all respect from me at this point.

We gave up hope because this guy kept throwing childish tantrums. He's was paid $640 for 8 hours. The trip began late since he showed up late, it lasted from 7:30am to 12pm (4.50hrs) because we couldn't handle his attitude and still charged $640.

Lance our guide was awesome, he is a true professional. Highly recommend Green Bay Trophy Fishing.

Had an amazing time getting our bag limit with Capt. Lon who was extremely helpful and fun to chat with! He was patient and very knowledgeable and I can't imagine getting a different guide!

Captain Lon was an absolute pleasure to go on a charter with! It was my first time walleye fishing and he guided my two friends and I to bag our limit! Highly recommend!

Wow! Captain Lon and Captain Lance showed us what walleye fishing on the big lake is all about!! They checked every box. Equipment, knowledge, skill, courtesy. You name it they delivered. We were on the fish from start to finish with repeated double and triple hookups. It was incredible!! Between two boats, my three sons and myself were all able to limit out in barely an hour and a half. Thanks so much Lon and Lance for exceeding our expectations and giving us a memory to treasure for always!! You'll be seeing us again for sure.

We had a great experience today with Lonney from Green Bay Trophy Fishing. There was nearly constant action and we had several instances where we were hooked up two and three at a time! Lonney's boat was clean and in great condition and he worked hard to keep us on fish the whole time. Thanks, Lonney, for a great trip!

Lonney never ceases to amaze when it comes to getting us on the fish. He constantly works to ensure we stay on top of them. One of the most knowledgeable guides to the area. As always we will be returning with our nations veterans and law enforcement again for our annual trip!

The best time on the water. First off, Lonney is 100% professional and entertaining. His equipment is on point and the boat is amazing.

I would highly recommend Green Bay Trophy Fishing for anyone looking to have a good time on the water and catch plenty of fish. My father and my two brothers all went out with Lonny recently and we were shocked by how many fish we caught (20+), and even began to lose count during our half day trip. Lonny was extremely helpful and you could tell he wanted everyone to catch fish and have a good time. We were able to catch a ton of walleye, plenty of good size, as well as two large Perch and a freshwater drum. You could tell Lonny was extremely experienced and knew how and where to catch the fish regardless of the conditions. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good day of fishing on the bay.

We spent the day with Lonnie fishing Smallmouth. He is definitely an excellent guide and people person. The conversation was great, and the fishing (catching) was as good as it gets! We've used his outfit before ice fishing and caught more fish than we dreamed of. Thanks again for such a memorable day.
