About Great Western Flooring Co.
The Great Western Tile Company began in 1981 as a family-owned and -operated business serving Chicago's Western Suburbs. In 1984, founder and owner Steve Chirico incorporated Great Western Tile into what is now The Great Western Flooring Company.
Formed on hard work, attention to detail and a joy in serving people, Great Western's rapid growth was instantly imminent. Intent on creating the ultimate design center, Steve pursued a partnership with the country's largest flooring manufacturer, Mohawk Industries. Mohawk welcomed the relationship and made Great Western a part of its exclusive Floorscapes® program representing the flooring industry's elite companies.
As buzz built around Great Western's first retail location, the business continued expanding its products and services to include carpet, hardwood and vinyl.
Today, Great Western Flooring remains a celebrated fixture and brand name in the Naperville business community. More than 25 years after our doors opened to the public, we are still devoted to the ART of flooring: Accountability, Reliability and Trust, our promises to you.
