If anyone is thinking about having a Mandamus filed because they have been waiting over 6 months, stop thinking about it and do it. I highly recommend using Goldstein Immigration. Everyone I corresponded with through email was professional and got back to me in a timely matter. They updated me when the case was filed and I updated them when the embassy asked for documents and I submitted them. My wife's case was stuck in Administrative processing since May 2020 after the interview. I hesitated in suing the government because I was afraid the embassy (London) would come up with an excuse to deny my wife's visa out of retaliation. September 2022 I called Goldstein Immigration Lawyers for a consultation which lasted 30 to 40 minutes. They were honest and told me before I spoke that if they feel a Mandamus will not work for me they will let me know. The representative appeared at phone call appointment is very rude and lack basic knowledge to understand my answers. Pretty cool features on their website though.

They are extremely knowledgeable in their field. Our case had been in Abu Dhabi for 7 years and we had given up hope that it would be resolved, however they got us the visa in only 3 months. I strongly recommend their team!

It's been more than a year after my I-485 submission and there is no single update for my case after the finger print appointment shortly after the case submission. As I search around the internet I found a way to push my case to move forward as to file a writ of mandamus lawsuit against USCIS. I eventually decide to give it a try to see if I can get both me and my wife's green card approve by the end of year so my wife could stay in the state with me as her visa is expiring soon at the beginning of next year. The lawsuit definitely makes difference for the case as I immediately got updates from my case. My case is employer based from a big company that they might see similar case every day but it still took USCIS a long time to push things through. During the time, they made mistake and transferred my case to the wrong state which delayed the whole process by another couple weeks. The staffs from Goldstein lawfirm is kind and professional that they were staying with me all this time and sent me updates in a regular basis. Finally my case got approved, which is about 3 month after I filed the lawsuit, and it's more than 1 year and a half after my initial submission of I-485. My wife can stay with me without concerning the expiration of her visa and we could finally plan some international travel after so many years of waiting. I would encourage any one that has similar situation to consider filing a writ of mandamus lawsuit to fight for it.

I'm extremely glad I contacted Goldstein Immigration Lawyers to help me with my wife's green card which was put on admin processing for no actual reason. She ended up getting the green card thanks to the petition filed by Goldstein and team.

Let me simplify things a bit and answer the most common questions -
Does the lawsuit work - YES
Would the immigration issue been resolved without the lawsuit - Honestly, I don't think so.
Was I scared that filing the lawsuit would upset the US immigration and they would react disapprovingly - YES
Did the US immigration react disapprovingly - NO
Do I think the updates I was finally seeing on my case were due to the lawsuit filed - YES

The whole team at Goldstein were absolutely wonderful from the beginning. Before they took on our case they made sure to clear any and all doubts we had until we were 100% satisfied. The filing process was quite easy and the lawsuit was filed in a short time. After filing we started seeing actual movement on my wife's admin processing status (something that was missing for over a year). In two months a federal judge was assigned to our case, an attorney from the US immigration dept. was assigned to to our case and our the whole case was resolved within this time period.

In the end I am deeply thankful to the Goldstein team for assisting us and I know our case would still be stuck in admin processing had it not been for the lawsuit (other applicants who were stuck in admin processing around the same time as us and did not file a lawsuit are still stuck in admin processing).

If I can give 6/5 stars I’ll do it. After being told the day of my interview that my case needed additional “administrative processing” - I was in shock and under confusion. My immigration lawyer at the time couldn’t even grasp or offer any insights on what that’s means and how long it is going to takes to get my immigration visa and finally be able to join my other half.
