When you buy furniture, you're buying a piece of history - your history, stories yet to be told of the memories you'll make in your home.
No one understands the connection between furniture and history better than Gladhill Furniture, a family-owned business in the heart of Middletown, Maryland.
Woodrow Wilson was President and women didn't have the right to vote when Calvin T. K. and Lola Gladhill began selling furniture, cook stoves, aluminum ware, jewelry, buggies, wagons and carriages in nearby Myersville, Maryland. They moved to the present location at 10 Walnut Street in Middletown in 1915, into the Schlosser Tannery building which was razed when the present structure was built in 1929.
