Gibson Creek by Bonaventure

Don't walk, RUN far away.

I've been waiting for my Mom to leave this place before I left the review to prevent Mom from being treated worse than she already is. If your family member has high needs, do NOT bring them to this facility. They should have NEVER accepted my mother, given their inability to take care of her. She has been left in her dirty diapers for 2+ hours on several occasions. That alone is grounds for a report of neglect. We've reported this facility to the Oregon State Ombudsmen, and plan on reporting them to Social Services as well. Funny enough, the Ombudsmen wasn't surprised to hear yet another report about this facility.

Not to mention that Mom does not eat certain foods out of her religious choices and was not given any nutritional options as a back up. She was given a glass of milk and a bowl of ice cream for dinner because she does not eat pork. How is that an acceptable and healthy meal for someone with heart failure? Every single meal she received was cold, soggy, or melted. Really doesn't bode well with the already low morale in that place.

I don't have the highest compliments of the staff (although most of them are very nice), but they are so severely understaffed and underpaid, I'll cut them a break. It's bad enough when they voice their displeasure of their job to the residents as is. It's clear that their "director" is not doing them any favors, that's for sure.

This place is disgusting. I'm sure they will reply back with some sort of sob story. Don't waste your time on making excuses. Just make it right for the residents.

Horrible management ,staff are rude but act nice as soon as residents family is around , the cook tami uses her bare hand to stir the potato salad together and then licks her finger before washing her hands off .

This is the first time we have heard about these concerns from you. We did give ample opportunity for you to properly learn your position, including having management speak with you. Unfortunately, after several times of being asked to ensure your hands were sanitized, you opted to part ways suddenly, leaving our residents without. If you'd like to discuss this further, please contact us.

Excellent place for elderly at all stages of life. Friendly staff and good infection control measures in place.

Worst company to work for. They hire anyone off the streets and fire the good employees. They have gone through 6 Executive Directors and even more Assisted living directors and nurses. Wouldnt recommend moving your loved ones there or any bonaventure company. They have employees who work there submitt rwviews sayi g its a good company. Go talk to the residents and they will tell you about the 99% turnover rate. And go ask the residents who have moved into better communities like boone ridge

Michelle, we are sorry to see that you were compelled to leave a review such as this. As you know, Bonaventure expects our employees to not share other residents' personal information (such as care or concerns) with other residents. In a health care setting privacy is extremely important. Additionally, we do expect our team to do their job accurately and without error especially when it involves the administration of medications. Lastly, we do not tolerate staff members throwing objects at other team members. Unfortunately, when a team member exhibits these types of behaviors we are left with no other choice than to part ways with that employee. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

I was visiting my daughter at work. I took a seat in the lobby to wait for her. I was with my grandson. I started feeling shaky, sweating and clammy to the touch. I sent my grandson to get my daughter. She came and checked on me and she immediately got the nurse to check me out she checked my blood sugar and it was low, she got me some orange juice and something to eat. The nurse monitored me until I felt better. The nurse and other staffed who worked there were very attentive an knowledgeable about my condition. I would say if or when I needed a facility I would consider Gibson Creek. After seeing what level of care staff gives to the residents.

Very caring staff for the residents, rooms are clean and a great size and lots of fun activities!

I've been coming to Gibson Creek for 3 years. The staff is very caring and understanding and are very understanding of the word"empathy". I have seen the caregivers and med aides work with residents and it melts my heart to see all the love they put in to their jobs.

I brought my mom here to get the feel of what assisted living was and everything that Gibson Creek had to offer her. I was amazed by how the staff was with my mom and how they cared for her and her needs. I was very heartfelt when my mom I had a diabetic reaction and her not being a resident there all the staff and RN ran to assist her and her needs. We observed everything and everyone and I can honestly say when the time comes,no will be bringing my mom here.

While visiting Gibson Creek I was very impressed to see the participation with their activity program. I seen very happy residents and happy staff. I would recommend Gibson Creek for your senior living needs!!!!!

There's too many good things to say about this building. Good staff, good care, nice building, and when I've had food with my relative it was really good.
