About Gerald Michael Barber, MD

Dr. Barber is a Baton Rouge native and a graduate of LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his internship and family practice residency at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge in 1987 and has been associated with Family Practice Associates since 1987. He continues to serve as Medical Director of Hospice of Baton Rouge, a position to which he was named in 1991. Dr. Barber is Board Certified in Family Practice and is a member of the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians. In addition, he has served on numerous committees with Our Lady of the Lake. He resides in St. Francisville, La., with his wife and four children.
