We made our first purchase in 2013. We chose the most adorable purebred (or so we we were told) toy poodle. He is pure joy, loving, adorable but is definitely NOT a purebred. He's now 6 1/2 years old and 6.5lbs and is a mix breed poodle who has disc and knee issues. The DNA (that we did in 2019) does not lie, unlike the paperwork & story we were given at Furrylicious! We purchased our second dog (prior to doing the DNA test) which we were told was also a purebred toy poodle in 2018 as a companion to our first dog. He was only 3lbs when we took him home & was supposed to be approx 6-9 lbs fully grown. Well, this little guy continued to grow & is now over 13lbs. NOT a toy poodle! We did a DNA test on him & then on our other "toy poodle" and that's when we found out that they are both NOT purebreds and that their parents were not full purebreds either. So, the family tree & AKC papers for both dogs is total rubbish! I have contacted the AKC & they also have the information. Don't get me wrong, we love our dogs. They are family. HOWEVER, I don't like to be swindled and lied to! These people at Furrylicious claim that these dogs are full purebreds and charge THOUSANDS of dollars for mix breeds! That's my complaint. When I contacted Cindy Knowles she said and I quote "I don't understand exactly what you are looking for. You love the dog but are concerned he is a little bigger than you thought he would be? I offered a full return and refund like any business would do if you are unhappy. I am very perplexed at what else you would like me to do." To which I responded - People who love dogs do not return them! He's a member of our family now, they both are! What I'm upset and annoyed with is the fact they lied when we purchased these dogs. I guess they could not have charged the exorbitant amount of money if they were honest! Shame on you Cindy Knowles and shame on anyone who works there and is lying to the public! Google them you'll see they are affiliated with puppy mills!
