Flowers Mill Veterinary Hospital first opened in 1977 on the site of a former mill site and farm/barn built in 1880. Dr. Widenmeyer (owner and veterinarian) was responsible for some of the construction himself. Over the years various additions were implemented to increase surgery space, add a small boarding kennel, and expand the waiting area. While offering the comfort of homey surroundings, the facility features the latest technology in animal care. The clinic first became a member of the American Animal Hospital Association in 1983, and has been in operation under Dr. Widenmeyer's continuing leadership for the past 35 years.
