Fitness 19

Bad:
- Predatory billing practices. You will have hard time cancelling your membership. They were happily billing me for 2 years while I wasn't going there. You can't cancel by calling this location. I just changed my credit card. Then their billing department started sending me emails warning of balance going to collection. I called billing department. Alas, they can't cancel either! I need to use some website and where I register using account number they've included in emails. Guess what, the account number they've included in emails was "accidentally" wrong - missing one digit. Had to call the club again to figure out the right number. Ended up paying for lots of months when I never used the facility.
- Somewhat dirty changing rooms, restrooms and showers.

Good:
- The membership fee is small and the staff at the gym are friendly.

I being a member since 2020 is going to be 2 years . Last year never went due to wearing a mask , I can breath with it . But I never sign out and kept paying , they also charge me for my son who never went to the club , but i desist on take him out of my account due they never paid attention and kept charging for him . The funny thing is that they call my son every day telling him that he's going to collections cause he never paid …… he never sign for it , in the first place. But anyway , now they are charging more for the month and never received a notification for it . Lack of communication with this people is driving me nuts …… when I go looking for the manager he's never there .

Free weights need to be updated. Need 35 lb plates, the dumb-bells are missing matching sets for the heavier weights. The place is clean and well maintained for the most part. Machines seem to get fixed in an expedited manner. Staff is friendly and always available.

Equipment's are fine, nice environment and people.
Shower rooms are dirty some times, some times, no soap/shampoo.
Staff are not trained about financial stuff, signing contract and conditions they do not provide you accurate information. You should be careful and read contract yourself. They give you false information , instead of saying let me check, see the contract and.. and later accusing you of lying and ask for proof.
So make sure you are clear about these when you sign:
annual fee, enrollment fee,
monthly fee
downgrading fee,
termination fee
in different types of contract(monthly or yearly)

I had prim+ membership and when I wanted to downgrade to regular they asked me to pay $39.

On the phone, the manager, Nick, was trying to defend his staff. I felt that he really didn't listen to me. He said that they have similar phone calls and I felt that he treated me like one of THEM, bad, bothering customers.

I was not happy with they phone services as well, long time on hold and at the end they said you should call another number or go to club to make change.

This gym offers a complimentary 1 hour session with staff to go over all of the equipment. A separate area is provided for free weights as well as for exercise classes. Safe and clean environment with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Trainer's are available (extra charge) to work with you to achieve a exercise regiment that works best for your needs. Clean locker rooms with lockers and showers. Very happy!

This gym is wonderful. It is clean, the staff is friendly and professional. It is affordable and the hours work with my schedule as they open at 5:00a.m.

I thought fitness 19 was a family gym !
Yet they continue to play gangster rap with the N word and guns going off in the back ground.
Just an idea but how about playing music that the customers may want to hear and not the teenagers working there.

I find Fitness19 clubs to be an excellent value. Our family have been members for a long time.
I go to both clubs in San Jose depending on what happens to be closest to me that day. They are both clean, the machines are well maintained and the front desk folks are cheerful and friendly. I don't do the classes myself, but my mother takes classes at the Hamilton location and she likes them and the instructors quite a bit.
