The sales staff and service managers are friendly, but the service techs left a potentially deadly wiring connection on my travel trailer.

I took my 2021 trailer in for warranty work after the electric fireplace and A/C stopped working. The soonest appointment they had was nearly a month away, which I understand due to the part and labor shortages affecting every industry right now. When I dropped my trailer off it took several weeks for them to look at it, which again I know was because they are busy but that's what I thought the appointment was for... Anyways, I wasn't too concerned about the time delay because I didn't need the trailer during that time. Finally I get a call saying the trailer was ready and that it was just a loose wiring connection at the wall switch. Great, easy fix! Well shortly after bringing the trailer home the same issue occurred. I decided to take a look at the switch and found the problem. The wires they had "fixed" were loose again. The wires were connected via a broken wire nut wrapped in electrical tape and the insulation on the wires had begun to melt due to the resistance caused from their poor connection. At this point I'm just glad I found it and fixed it before the wiring caught fire. Not sure I can bring my trailer here again, even though it is under warranty, because I can't trust their workmanship on a simple fix much less a complex issue.

TL;DR: Waited 2 months for them to look at my trailer, halfway "fix" a loose electrical connection using a broken wire nut and electrical tape which resulted in melted wires and the problem arising again within 24 hours of pickup.

I have been a customer for years with Findlay the work is always done correctly and in a timely manner. Mike the service advisor is great and one of the reasons I keep going back. I just had a major repair completed and could not be happier with the work. The mechanic who completed the repair did a wonderful job. A big thank you to the Findlay Team...?

We have a 2013 E-450 Class C. I had the emergency brake shoes and hardware replaced. And they were to trouble shoot the awning not working. They said they repaired a connector and reconnected the wires to the awning switch. Well, the awning still doesn't work. And now there is a loud noise coming from the rear disc brakes on brake apply. I never had any issues with the brakes before they worked on it. I took it back for a recheck, now they're saying it needs new calipers and pads to eliminate the noise, they think. They just had it disassembled, and never said anything about needing any other parts. And now on the awning, they say it needs new coach batteries. But everything else in the coach works fine. Sad service here, they could care less about mis- diagnosing the issues. Findlay rv will not be getting any recommendations from me, and I work at a campground!
