Fairway Subaru

Unlike some people, the thought of buying a new car fills me with dread. I can't allow myself to be excited at all during the process, but for the first time in my life, the people at Fairway made it a joy.

I had just finished a 10 hour shift at work and had my two kids in tow when I walked in to test drive a used pickup. I couldn't have blamed any of the sales associates for raising an eyebrow at our haggard bunch. Instead, I was greeted kindly by the busy staff and enthusiastically met by Mr. Joseph Webb, the amicable consultant assigned to me.

We were swiftly escorted to the extended cab truck my wife and I had requested online the night before. Joseph encouraged me to have a look inside and experiment with our car seat in the back of the cab. During this process, I had expressed interest in a test drive of a crew cab, so he made short work of arranging it for us.

My wife had arrived just as we were handed the keys to the crew cab. Our car seat fit okay in the back, so off we went in 5 o'clock traffic. It occurred to my wife during the drive our booster seat might work for our 4 year old in the original truck. When we got back to Fairway, Joseph handed us the keys to the original truck without hesitation.

I'm seriously at risk of making a long story longer here, so in short- we loved the truck. The booster worked, the interior was super clean, and she handled nicely- and we were treated nicely. Joseph and the Finance Manager, Jared Chernick stayed late and worked hard to arrange the sale. At no point in the process did we experience any pressure- only peace of mind. We even had a few moments to chat pleasantly about unrelated matters while the paperwork went through.

If all of this seems a bit syrupy, please understand- I really hate the car buying process. But these guys not only made it as painless as possible, but as enjoyable as it could be given how tired we all were.
