Fairmont Kea Lani ReviewsLEAVE REVIEW FOR BUSINESS
Excellent location in Wailea with a lovely private beach. Not too far from local shops if you want to grab a coffee or a bite to eat away from the resort.
We originally booked a beachfront view but changed to a poolside suite, so we didn't have to go up and down the elevator. Overall, the rooms are excellent, with a lot of space - and a pullout couch. The only downside to the poolside suite is the noise from the live music; the music is fine, but it's just too loud for the small space that it's in. The sound travels pretty far but ends around 8 PM.
Super friendly staff working at the hotel and the restaurants. Find Nick and Noel at the AMA poolside bar, and Mess over at the bar at KO.
The buffet sucks! If you're looking for breakfast, go somewhere else. It's $50 per person for what I would describe as Airport food. The food sitting out had gnats and flies all over, and the other stuff was unappetizing. The only upside was the omelet bar (if you're ok with spending $50 for an omelet, go for it). If you're looking for a buffet, check out the one at The Four Seasons - it's 100X better.
Nicks Fishmarket and KO are the places to go for dinner, and the food is out of this world.
It has a great gym with various equipment to meet your fitness goals.
Use the snorkeling equipment every day, and you're paying for it with your resort fees.
We will stay here again in the future, and the price point is excellent for what it is. You will end up paying 2X or 3X more lodging at the Grand Wailea or Four Seasons.
