About Debrah: discovered my passion and talent as admissions consultant over a decade ago when I was a private writing tutor in New York City. The first time I heard a college admissions client scream into the phone: “I got in!” I was hooked.

Since then I have consulted with dozens of college and graduate school applicants on their choice of schools and personal essays. I truly enjoy working with both domestic and international students. However, the best part of my job is the knowledge that I am helping students who are going to change the world for the better, even if they don't know exactly how to do it, yet.

As a published author and longtime Creative Writing instructor at the Columbia University Summer High School Program, I use my breadth of writing and teaching experience to support and guide applicants through a writing process that is expedient and effective. Training in theater and film I am able to engage all types of writers in dynamic dialogues that result in vivid and well-crafted narratives that speak directly to admissions officers. I am also a member of AIGAC (Association of International Graduate Admissions Counselors).
