​​Ernie's Rapid Lube & Auto Repair was founded by Ernie Schmitt in 1983 (Ernie has been in the automotive business for 56 years - owning several gas stations and stints as a Service Manager at 2 local dealerships). This was the first "quick lube" business in Lewis County. Ernie has always run the Rapid Lube and Auto Repair like the old fashioned gas stations where customer service is the most important aspect. Ernie's Rapid Lube is a place that prides itself in giving top notch service, with competitive prices and providing a place for people to go for their oil changes and minor engine repairs at one convenient location. Ernie's is proud to have multiple generations of families as customers with more coming in every day! This is not a "chain oil change place" but a single, family run business where the staff knows many customers on a first name basis.
