Don Farwell cut his teeth in the audio engineering classes at The Evergreen State College in the 1990s. From there, he went on to work as house engineer/manager at one of the most renowned NW facilities, Bear Creek Studio from 1995-98. There he assisted on several major label projects including Foo Fighters, Ginger Baker Trio, Afghan Whigs, The Walkabouts, Handsome, Laura Love and Dog's Eye View. He also had the opportunity to work with many great local artists/producers like Gordon Raphael (producer - The Strokes), Terry Date, Don Gilmore, Bill Frisell, Wayne Horvitz, Matt Chamberlain, Tucker Martine, Reggie Watts, Eyvind Kang, Jeff Simmons (Mothers of Invention) and Matt Cameron to name a few. As house engineer, Don also worked on everything from local bands to orchestral film score sessions.
Don started Earwig with Eric Batt to continue the pursuit of recording great music. He works fast, gets great sounds and is very easy to get along with.
We are a full service recording studio.
