I have had two unpleasant experiences at Dyer and Dyer Volvo Chamblee Tucker, GA. The first was a trip to the dealership for a software upgrade (polstar software upgrade) in September of 2024. I received an email promotion to do this upgrade, which would enhance the performance of my Volvo XC60. The coupon was for $300.00. The coupon did not include the list price for the install where the discount would then be applied. I called the dealership and spoke with their front desk to ask about the price. They said the $300.00 coupon would cover the ENTIRE cost of the software upgrade. When I arrived for the service, the service rep told me he would send my car back to service and check-in on this for me. The mechanic started the upgrade (without my final approval based on agreed upon price) and the service technician told me the cost would be $2,200 and that he hoped that was "ok". I told him no thank you. The service rep then asked me "how much would you be comfortable paying for this", which I thought was inappropriate and honestly dishonest. He told me he would go back to the shop and that he would take care of this. 2 hours later he came back to the show room to tell me that they were uninstalling the software upgrade and that they would be giving my car back. I would have lost 3 hours in the dealership had I not talked to Paul and explained this to him. He told me the cost was actually $1200 and with the $300 off I would be paying $900. He apologized for the confusion, filled my tank, and gave me his card with a free rotation and balance note on the back. Early March of this year, due to someone cutting my partner off in traffic and her having to slam the brakes, some of her coffee spilled around the gear shifter and center console. When she came home, I took the car to run some errands and the car placed itself in park from drive and the engine cut-off at a red light. I was stuck in the middle of the road for roughly 10-15 minutes until I was able to finally get the car back into drive. I had Volvo tow the vehicle to Dyer and Dyer Chamblee Tucker. I called the dealership and spoke to Colin and Mr. Thompson (Director of Service) at Chamblee Tucker and they suggested I contact Volvo Corporate, because they agreed with me that this was a design flaw that impacted the safety of my family. I contacted Volvo Corporate and received multiple emails with canned responses from the representative with the only thing they could do was $500.00 discount on the $1,600.00 service. They held my car for a week and a half and they never cared to provide me with a loaner vehice. Thankfully, I work from home and my partner has a vehicle, so we could manage. For a week and a half, the customer service rep would speak with the regional manager, the regional manager would speak with Mr. Thompson (and me on occasion via email) and it was like a game of telephone before I just showed up at the dealership to speak in person. I was told by Mr. Thompson that he had done everything he could and that at this point he was just the messenger. Needless to say, I did not perform the $1,100 service on my vehicle because I don't have over $1,000.00 to fix Volvo's design flaw. Electrical components that are inches away from cup holders should be better insolated/covered internally so as to not cause a vehicle to shut-off in the middle of the street. I asked to return the leased vehicle, they said no. I asked them if they thought the vehicle was safe to drive, they told me "you signed stating you didn't want the service, anything that happens is now on you". For a car company that claims to differentiate itself from its competitors by being one of the safest most reliable luxury vehicles, their customer service is no luxury and the safety of the vehicles is VERY debatable in me experience. I hope that Volvo can fix / own up to it's design flaws in the future or at least start warning their customers about the sensitive nature of the middle console.

I had the pleasure of buying a vehicle from Dyer & Dyer Volvo on 03/21/2025. My salesman was Mr. Ron Keys and the professionalism and courtesy shown was exceptional along with the finance officer. I didn't spend the entire day at the dealership nor was there alot of back and forth trying to pressure me into unwanted financial numbers. If you are ever looking for great vehicles at reasonable prices give Dyer & Dyer Volvo in Chamble Tucker a try.

I set an appointment at Dyer and Dyer for some standard maintenance on my XC60 and arrived a good bit before the appointment time. Darrell was extremely helpful and professional and took my car back before my appointment time. The maintenance was done efficiently and Darrell even applied some coupons towards the service. I will be back to Dyer and Dyer every time I need service on my Volvo!

My experience was pleasant and accommodating. We were taken care of by Mercedes in a caring and professional manner. She remembered us from our last appointment. We were out of the building in a timely manner. In addition, there was constant information given to us as to the progress of the work done on the car.

Reggie was very thorough and helpful in taking care of my car issue. He didn’t let me leave until I was completely satisfied. This experience added to my perception of Volvo as not only a car known for safety and sustainability but also for being very customer-friendly.

My first time purchasing a car was made incredibly simple and stress free thanks to the help of Derek Felix and Ron Crawford. They were accommodating of my schedule, kind, knowledgeable and answered any question that arose in a timely manner. I would be happy to recommend others to dyer and dyer in the future after my experience!
