Add ReviewI do not know how the repair will be on my daughter's car, but the 3 stars is due to my disappointment with the lack of communication from the service department. It has been difficult to get through to people and/or get the service department to return messages and call back. I am sure that some of this is due to busyness and also some phone problems, but hopefully, Don K (who has a very good reputation) will seek to improve their communication. Thanks!Report

provided erroneous information on many visits & throughout the entire process. I was really hoping to buy a car from them, but after this experience, there’s no way that’s happening. If you know what’s good for yourself, stay far away from this place! I can’t speak for the other departments, but if they are anything like Subaru sales department, watch out. If they are this cold to all customers, it’s a miracle they are still in business.

In my previous car buying experiences with other dealers I had been pressured, bullied, and taken advantage of. When I walked into Don K Subaru I was determined to not let that happen again. Turns out I had absolutely nothing to worry about at Don K!
Blake Johnson was amazing. He absolutely put me at ease, was no pressure, extremely informative and friendly. He wasn't just trying to make a sale no matter what. He wanted to make sure I was choosing the right vehicle for me and that I was absolutely comfortable in the choices I made throughout the process.
There are no hidden fees at Don K! No extra add ons snuck on the price, and no need to haggle back and forth. The deal is in the customers hands from the start. And they have great incentives and discounts! It was such a refreshing car buying experience that completely changed my view of how a deal is done.

I’m somewhat frustrated and almost ready to look for a new service shop. I will say that the staff has always been very pleasant and nice. I would like to keep using Don K Subaru for my car maintenance needs since I have a Subaru, but they have made three significant mistakes that have cost me a lot of time. First, my front windshield wiper fluid hose got disconnected somehow, so I went here to get it fixed. I thought they had done a good job until a few months later when the hose had disconnected again. They fixed it again and all was good for about a year and a half until it happened again. This time the wiper blades motor had rubbed a hole through the tube. It probably wouldn’t have made a hole if the tube was put out of the way of the motor. Second, I had my car in the body shop after a mild deer hit and only my front bumper needed to be replaced. Somehow they ordered an Impreza bumper for my Outback which resulted in my car being in the shop for a MONTH. Third and most recent, I needed a CV axle replaced, so I had an appointment scheduled for 7am today, 10/4/24. I approved and signed for the service around 10am. They said it would take a few hours, so when I had no phone call/text at 5pm, I called them wondering if it was done. Apparently, they just had my car sitting in the shop with the necessary part right next to it the whole day and did not make any repairs. They didn’t know what happened or why nothing had been done. So now I will have to go back on Monday. I hope my experience will be better because it’s getting really hard to keep coming back.Report
This is my second experience with Don K, first was with Dodge service and second was with Subaru sales. Everyone there has been especially helpful and courteous. One honorable mention is Zane in Subaru Sales, he went over and above, even coming in on his day off to make sure the transaction went smoothlyReport

I took my car in to get the (automatic) (shorted master switch ) window manually rolled up, after 3 hours of waiting *) *I understand how appointments work :) they told me the motor was dead (for the window) not 1. what I asked or cared about. 2. I just wanted my window manually up so I didn't have to worry about theft. 3 hours later 1 peice of plastic I was quoted 700$ not to worry though, see my screenshot below to figure out how I saved almost over 500$. I get you gotta pay the techs but are you really paying them what they are worth? Because once I had the tools I resolved the window issue in 15 minutes till I could get my OEM parts via mail...Report

Car work through a dealership is sometimes, warranty wise, necessary. However, learning on your own is much more fulfilling! Far more result based to save money.
