About Digestive Diseases Consultants

Dr. Sutherland joined Digestive Diseases Consultants of Kankakee in 1993. He attended Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois where he received a Doctor of Medicine. After medical school, he completed his post graduate training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. He finished his medical training with the completion of a fellowship at the same facility. Dr. Sutherland is board certified in gastroenterology. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Physicians, Illinois State Medical Society and Kankakee Medical Society.
