As an owner of Austin restaurants for many years, I can honestly say that there is no other company and no other person I would feel comfortable recommending to brides and families than Rosa Gibson and her company Austin Wedding Planners. I have recommended this company a multitude of times and each time been thanked profusely…. So much so, I decided I needed to write a review.

Rosa knows how to please and create memories and she knows how to do it seemingly effortlessly; although I know she is a meticulous behind-the-scenes planner.

I’ve recommended Austin Wedding Planners for both high-end and simple affairs, and every time they impress and wow. I have seen firsthand how Ms. Gibson's attention to detail and great taste allows for a flawless experience.

I cannot say enough good things about Rosa and her team. Rosa was amazing to work with, and the day of the wedding went so smoothly because of her excellent management. I felt, even though I technically only had her as my day-of coordinator, that she was so much more and helped me book some of the vendors that we had as well as getting a small discount with them.

She checked in regularly and was consistently keeping me updated on things as we got closer to the day. Our rehearsal went smoothly, was quick and efficient. We didn't need to worry about anything the day of the wedding or afterwards. She isn't just good at her job, but she's so kind and supportive. I really appreciate everything Rosa did, and I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone planning their wedding.

Rosa was wonderful to work with. Very professional and she really knows this business inside and out. She is organized and detail orientated. Our wedding went off without a hitch and we have her to thank for that!
She is very connected in the industry and introduced us to many of our vendors, all of which we loved! She was much more than just a wedding planner, she was something we could talk things through with at any time we needed. By the time of the wedding we considered her more than our planner, but a dear friend.

We had a terrible experience with AWP. Rosa claimed to have a good relationship with our chosen wedding venue, who only work with an approved list of wedding planners, only to learn from them that she was NOT on their approved list due to having almost ruined several weddings and ruined relationships with vendors. We switched to a new planner recommended by the wedding venue, but if not for that, our wedding would likely have been ruined.

We cannot say enough about how much we loved working with Rosa Gibson. As a very busy working professional living in a different state, Rosa was a life-saver for my Austin wedding. She tailored her wedding packages to our specific needs instead of nickel and diming for every charge, knew the perfect vendors to book for our wedding, and got us a ton of vendor discounts. She was extremely organized, very thorough in her planning, and when any small thing popped up she took care of it immediately and effectively. Picking Rosa was the best choice I made when planning my wedding, because she helped me make all the other choices to make our wedding awesome!

I came to Rosa about 5 weeks out from my wedding and she was able to step in and help me tie up all the loose ends. Her and her team were so extremely helpful on the day of! Everything ran so smooth and she was even in touch with me the weeks following to make sure that everything was good after the dust settled. Highly recommend Austin Wedding Planners for your event as the were warm, friendly, on top of everything, and a huge lifesaver!

As I learned, before - and especially during - your wedding, you need an experienced, decisive, well-connected, communicative planner. Rosa is all of those things.

Some highlights of our experience:

-Intimate knowledge of Austin-area venues, caterers, DJs, bakers, florists, and more (stuff I can't remember - why we needed Rosa): all of the recommendations were excellent
-A meeting with my wife's mom before the wedding to walk her through the venue
-An initial consultation at her house where she listened and asked the important questions
-Detailed day-of logistics / choreography run-through before the wedding
-Meetings with multiple caterers
-(Maybe most important) Day of decisiveness meaning we did not have to make decisions, worry, or miss important time with family (for example, we ran out of booze, and she made it quickly reappear)

All I can say is WOW.

Our wedding day was perfect based on our experience and our guest's feedback. If anything went wrong, we never knew about it. From start to finish, the execution and coordination were top-notch. Our families and wedding party also loved Rosa. She had every detail on lock, and given she's been doing weddings for over a decade, she's worked with almost every vendor in Austin and has excellent relationships with all of them.

She was a fantastic partner to work with and became like part of our family and also a friend!

Hire her!!! I cannot say enough great things about Rosa and her team. I was probably the very annoying type of bride in that I didn't have strong opinions, procrastinated, and waffled over every decision. Rosa was so patient, communicative, positive, and overall just made my wedding day an absolute dream! Her attention to detail is so incredible, especially for someone like me! By the end of the process, I felt more like Rosa was a dear old friend rather than my wedding planner. I will miss not talking to her almost every day! Seriously, hire her. Love you, Rosa!!!
