About Descubre Merida. LLC
The Descubre Merida experience will help students and non-students develop and improve their Spanish skills, learn about the Venezuelan culture, and strengthen the bonds of friendship and understanding between cultures. Participants will also gain knowledge and experience in international relations, which will help them confront the challenges of a vast world. One of the ways in which Descubre Merida seeks to provide total immersion in the culture and language is by having participants live with local families.

It is our belief that traveling is more than a pleasant way to pass the time. It is an eye-opening experience, and will add a variety of positive and meaningful experiences to your life. We take it upon ourselves to make sure that our participants receive the full benefits of traveling. To achieve this goal we have designed a multifaceted program that allows for (a) direct interactions with the native cultures in the form of volunteer work (b) internships with local businesses, and (c) purely recreational activities, that will provide you with unforgettable memories
