The location of this hotel was so convenient for us…close to the family we were in town to see and conveniently next door to the mall as well. The two rooms we stayed in were spaces and very clean. Thanks to the manager for getting us access to the members lounge and our breakfast vouchers! We happened to be in town during some big race so the hotel was busy but the staff never made us feel like they were too busy to answer our questions and make suggestions for things to do in the area. 10/10 will be coming back.

We were discriminated against. We booked 15-20 rooms per year for 4 years to host our Family and Friends for Christmas. The Front Desk Clerk refused to show us a room and we explained to her that we drove almost 2 hours to plan our Annual Christmas Party...we host 45-50 people per year. We asked the rude Hispanic front desk clerk that if she would not show us, if she could asked the Bellman to show us, she refused ..we watched him water the plants. There was only 1 person checking in...so she was not too busy to show us. She actually asked us to move to the side so that she could check in a Caucasian Couple...I might not have mentioned that we are African-American and we were the only 3 African-Americans in the entire hotel! Note: We all play golf and have played as a family tradition for 4 years.... until this year's! Not sure if I mentioned that my mother Retired Vice President of Comerica Bank passed to Cancer at 52 and my father a Retired Veteran passed to a Diabetic Coma. We host this Extravaganza for those of us us no longer have parents....We were talk it takes a Village and we have grown this tradition from 4 people to 45-50 people in 4 years!

I explained to the Clerk that she was loosing the Marriott thousands of dollars as we would have purchased food and drinks from the 24th-26th and there is only about 6 children in the group!

I had previously emailed the General Manager and got no response because Collette the Sales Manager told me when we attempted to Block the Entire 10th Floor that she would not decrease the standard amount, no matter how many rooms we booked...that we should book through a 3rd party if we want a discount!! Because I own a Property Management Company, I explained to her that most Owners would be disappointed if they knew what she was being lazy and loosing the company money, when we book through a 3rd party...the Marriott looses money....Eddie Phelps prior General Manager needs to Return, J.D. and Toni - Prior Assistant General Manager(who still works at the Marriott) that team was professional and treated all people like Gold.... that's what makes people return!

Marcus Hiles Billionaire and my very close friend is on the Board of the Marriott and I plan to visit with him and share the video as I prepare my Lawsuit against the Marriott.

All Dollars are the exact same Color! We will be hosting our Extravaganza at the Embassy Suites by Hilton who welcomed us with Open Arms....

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER AFRICAN-AMERICANS NOT WELCOME.... Note: I am a Clubcorp Member and have been since 92...just chose not to make them accept us at the expense of a terrible stay and Holiday!

This is just a review but not the last word.....

First experience during Covid of a hotel honoring all their commitments to their elite members (I am lifetime Titanium) lounge was open, breakfast and afternoon snacks provided, late checkout honored...etc...none of the whining and skimping I have found with other properties during these unusual times, totally friendly and competent staff and all of this during Thanksgiving when many places naturally pare back...was also recently and nicely renovated, an excellent trip and I highly recommend this property...

Didn't use the hotel, but the hotel was gracious to let our community use part of their parking lot for a community gathering/event!
Thank you so much, we appreciate you!

Beautiful suite- I LOVED that there was no carpet in any of the rooms. Comfortable bed and full sized pillows were very nice. Both TV's were clear and beautiful. The 1/2 bath came in handy and so did the separate tub and shower in the main bath room. The couch was comfortable, a/c was fabulously cool, dressing area and lighting was great. Great room darkening shades- they were so helpful. Oh, what a beautiful swimming pool! So many great things!! ?
