Crowne Plaza Kansas City Downtown

I serve in the military and was making a cross country PSC move to Virginia with my entire life in my truck with me. I had stayed at rest stops overnight in my truck to make sure my truck and belonging were secure. I chose to stay at the Crown Plaza downtown Kansas City MO because they have a parking garage with cameras and security guards (so I was told by the staff) that are on continual rotation in the parking garage. I removed the most sensitive items and brought them to my room with me. My truck was stolen along with all the contents at 0255/hrs in the morning. After arguing with the staff and GM I was able to review video footage and watched the whole thing happen. I arrived at around 1930 on 12/3/2021. I reviewed video from that time until the incident occurred, all cameras all angles. Not once did I observe a security guard in the garage anywhere. The suspect drove my truck right through the barrier at the entrance/exit and appeared to have been in the garage for quite some time. To make matters worse I had to rent a car at the airport and drive back to the hotel. When I got back there was no parking available in the garage and I was told I was out of luck by staff. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!! For one there is a law that protects hospitality businesses from liability and they will not help you. I actually had to ask to get my room comp'd for the second night while I squared things away with the KCPD so I could continue on to my new station and report on time. Don't be fooled by them telling you they have security guards. THEY DO NOTHING AT ALL! I am a criminal investigator by profession and my gut feeling is that this was an inside job. I book a suite, room did not have working phone, no remote control for one of the tv, no microwave, no towels in room when I check in. All reported to front desk, the only thing that was taking care of was the towels. Also it was a lot of noise every morning in the staff room right next to my room.

Took the Amtrak to Kansas City. The Crown Plaza was a nice, quiet and convenient hotel to and from Union Station. Staff at checkin and checkout were very friendly! Would stay here again.

Location location location! Walking distance to a bunch of places depending on the trip you're taking, the rooms are nothing special. Restaurant and bar closes early but not their fault.

Clean hotel, friendly staff and great location.

My wife and I were in KC to attend a concert at the T-MOBILE CENTER. The Crowne Plaza was a short 8 minute walk away. Quick check in and convenient parking.
Attentive front desk personnel.

The Crowne plaza in downtown kansas was more than pleasant.
The rooms are quiet and very clean.
I like the decor of the rooms as well as the modern touch in them.
Bathroom have its good amenities.
The gym is also very nice.
Over all the thing that i most liked was the awesome service from the hotel team and the shuttle drivers! ??
