Courtyard San Antonio SeaWorld/Lackland

Warning. Stayed here and had my moving truck broken into. Clerk could care less. Not a secure place at all. Lobby and halls were hot and wreaked of chlorine. Time to hire security!

Had a really unfortunate time here and definitely the worst stay at a Marriott I’ve had in my life. Upon arrival we quickly noticed the hotel was without AC in weather pushing 100°. The only air conditioning was in individual room units which did cool off the rooms adequately, but the trek from the lobby to the rooms were brutal. Walking into our room, it was clear there was not a high importance placed on cleanliness. There was an ad for a local pizza shop in the room and hairs EVERYWHERE that were black and curly (beds, bathroom, shower). Also, both the sink and tub had issues draining which was foul to think of the amount of hair blocking the drain that has yet to be dealt with. The countertops looked unclean and the windows had a film that looked like tint but definitely was not. Also, be warned that the Starbucks is open from 6-9pm, so if you want to get any morning coffee you are out of luck besides a tank of drip coffee with a pretty unsavory serving area. I definitely did not want to leave my car in the parking lot overnight but was one of the lucky few that was not broken into. We were excited to see online that there was a pool, but did not swim after seeing the cloudy water and extremely humid pool room. The majority of the staff was pleasant and most of these matters are out of their control, but management needs to do a better job at looking after guests after hard earned dollars are spent there.

I have stayed here a few times over the last 4 or 5 years. Initially it was very nice but with each visit it has declined to the point of not finishing my recent stay. The portable table in the room was disgustingly dirty and went straight out to the hallway. It has obviously not been cleaned in a long time. The room was damp and musty smelling. Our air fresheners never stood a chance as the musty smell was coming from the dirty air conditioner. The tv remote has not been cleaned in a long time. The bathroom was old and dirty. Pubic hair on the floor. Floor looks like it hadn’t been cleaned. The shower wouldn’t drain properly so you pay for the privilege of showering in ankle deep dirty soap water. I will never spend another dime on any Marriott property. ????

To the one reading this review, I'll start with the conclusion:
DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!

The bathtub wouldn't drain, and I found it full of hair. The amount of hair clearly indicated a lack of cleaning, which was really disgusting!
The mattress was full of hair and blood stains.

When I asked the front desk for cleaning, they said the cleaning staff had gone home and nobody else could do it. What a joke! I demanded to speak to the manager, but they told me the manager had also left. They claimed the manager would be in at 7 a.m. the next day, but when we checked out at 10 a.m., the manager still hadn’t shown up.

The whole hotel feels like a motel, but they try to present it as a luxury hotel, which is really unnecessary.

If you want a happy trip, do not come!

This is the best place to go to when you want to feel at home. The have the sweetest staff. Daniel who manages many other locations has the desire to ensure visitors have a great experience and reasonable any request or concerns are managed well. I will return time after time to be able to be served by Mike who is a real gentleman and champion in the kitchen. Mike has also showed me the importance of accepting that everyone isn’t the nicest as customers but he will always give everyone the same top shelf treatment and boy have I witnessed it. I myself wanted to pay a guys tab just to avoid the guy from acting so rudely. In the end it all worked out and the man was impressed with Mikes work enough to acknowledge Mike and his abilities as a one man show! There are also restaurants near by which have really good food. This was not only a place where I experienced great service I would also work there because they also have a great team and interact with everyone like family.

Thin walls! You can hear everything! I mean everything….. not kid friendly.
