While I had a good experience buying my CX-9 here a little less than two years ago, wanted to flag for other potential buyers that trying to get the dealership and Mazda to honor the new-car factory "warranty" is extremely difficult and the process is frustrating- so best to shop elsewhere. In the end, I wasted a lot of time and energy on what should have been a minor repair under Mazda's warranty. I like my car and hope it lasts a few more years, but won't be buying a Mazda again and won't be taking my car into this dealership for future service.

I have owned my car for less than two years and the paint around the front started to bubble and peel. The car sits in a garage both at home and work and the peeling is clearly not related to a chip/scratch, just defective paint (which by the way, was a $300 up charge on the car price…). While not a huge repair, given the defective nature of the factory paint job, it should be covered under warranty- its not normal wear and tear- never had a car do this. Took into Ourisman Mazda, and was told by service staff that the service manager needed to make the call. It took several calls and more visits to arrange for service manager to actually see the car. Was then told they would have to submit pictures to Mazda- the service manager couldn't make a decision. Then took several weeks and follow up phone calls from me to learn that Mazda had "rejected" claim with no reason given. Service team then encouraged me to file my own claim directly with Mazda by calling Mazda customer service. Why would a dealership not be able to intervene on behalf of customer- dealer clearly has more power than one individual consumer. And of course, calling Mazda is useless. Called the customer service number two days in a row, both times wait time was "long" and was prompted to "leave a message for a call back." Did that twice…crickets. Not surprised, but yet another reason to avoid.

If Mazda corporate couldn't make right, why couldn't the service shop? While I previously brought my car back to Ourisman for servicing, now I realize there is no reason to pay that premium. Once you buy the car, you are on your own- so if you are considering purchasing because of a fake-warranty promise, shop elsewhere.

Second Edited review: I should add that it is now 6 months and my car is not titled, nor have I received registration. See original review below: "well, after purchasing the car, all seemed well. Then I noticed that my registration never came in. Multiple back and forth discussions led to them sending new temp tags each month for over 3 months. Then...and this is interesting....they send me A NEW SALES CONTRACT. It seems they overcharged my sales tax and their DMV would not accept it. So they asked me to sign the new one and they would fix it on their end. Guess what? Nothing....they have done nothing....my next step is to inform the State Attorney general's office. Sounds like a scam to me."

Horrible dealership. New vehicle had damage and wasn't reported. Took it to service and they said they'd submit the warranty claim to Mazda and they did not. It appears as they did not inspect the trim pieces or take the door panels off because one of our complaints was door rattling and another dealer spotted the issue quickly.

Everyone was really nice and helpful when I was buying my car, but after, forget about it. You don't exist to them anymore. I bought my Mazda CX-5 in August. They agreed to fix the paint chips on the front but have not done so. I have been calling and emailing my sales person Ray and cannot get a hold of him. I emailed the manager Tarrique as well and cannot get a response. I have been back to the dealership 5 times since and no one is able to help. It is now November I have yet to have this fixed.

Unethical Dealership. Do not go to this dealership. They lied and put my 5 year old sons safety at risk. They did NOT disclose the used car I purchased had a branded title. They did NOT disclose the car had odometer issues. They did NOT disclose the car needed a. new engine and several parts. Ourisman Volkswagen of Rockville provided me a false carfax report. Do Not Go Here.

I found a used car on their website. Got in contact with a salesperson and scheduled a test drive. I confirmed my appointment with him just 45 minutes before, and then drove 45 minutes to the dealer. When I arrived, my salesperson wasn't available, but I let someone else know why I was there. He told me that the car wasn't actually for sale because it didn't pass inspection. Why was I not told this before I wasted so much of my time driving out? Either my salesperson didn't bother to check the status of the car, or else he lied to me just to get me in the shop. They didn't have any other cars in my price range so it was really just a waste of time.

I am having terrible experience with their finance department. I cancelled my extended warranty in the month of June and now its November and I just came to know that they didn't even submitted the cancellation form to the warranty company. Today I went in to check on it, because they don't answer their phones, they said they are "hoping" to do this time and it might take 4months more. This is my second car from them and the service has dropped alot since the first. I will never step in nor recommend them for any of my friends
