Add ReviewIf you ever get Cigna as your insurance through your employer it likely means they're cheapskates. This insurance has terrible customer service if you call and you'll be lucky if you get someone who even fully understands English. They can tell you one thing on the phone about what is and isn't covered and then later decide something completely different. And if you ever think you can expedite something by getting it "escalated" good luck you still will never hear back from them at all.Report
They won't pay rewards I've earned on my Medicare Advantage Rewards account. What makes it even worse there is no email contact and the phone contacts are untrained and seem not to care.Report

Worse than simply not having insuranceReport
I would give ZERO STARS if I could... first they approved a prosthetic leg. Then 6 months later said you have to pay for it. This is a $hit companyReport
After researching for hours to select a PCP based on the availability information provided by the Cigna website, I called to make an appointment only to discover that all my preferred choices were not accepting new patients.Report
Very poor insurance coverageReport
Cigna is an evil corporation. If you think that people don't see how aggressive you've gotten to make people suffer by denying coverage, denying diagnostic tests, denying vital medication and only pushing certain toxic drugs, you are wrong. Anyone working for this company is part of the problem. You are supporting pure evil. Cigna- you are awful and the elites in power should be ashamed of themselves.Report
Cigna covers nothing. When you call all they do is talk in circles and can’t answer a basic yes or no question. I can’t afford the copayments because they are always 300$ to 800$ so I don’t get treatments because I can’t afford it. This is the only insurance my husband’s company offers. My obituary will read, cause of death Cigna insurance.Report
I have 2 experiences. This insurance is offered through my employer. I initially took this insurance when I first started working for them. At the time I needed a colonoscopy, which resulted in the removal of a polyp. Cigna did not cover this, stating it was diagnostic. I was in debt to the doctors for over $3,000 this bill is now in collections. My second experience was this year comparing this insurance with my husband's. I spoke to at least three different representatives from Cigna, asking them to tell me what the cost will be for me to visit my healthcare providers. I felt like they were all reading from a script and only gave me general information but could not give me specific amounts of what I would be spending. Fortunately, I was able to stay with my husband's insurance where I know what my co-pays are at each visit. I feel that this company has poor service, and due to its inability to give specific costs and information they have fraudulent practices.Report
