It is a rare occurrence at CMI to find a product, service or concept that has not been previously marketed by some or all of the staff in another situation. CMI prides itself in being among the best in the country in the areas of research, development, strategy, launch, and riding “shotgun” as a campaign rolls out and matures. CMI's “Marketing Warfare” strategies are based on two of the most noted marketers of our time, Jack Trout and Al Ries, both of whom Charlie tutored under in the late 70s. Standard protocol for CMI's work with its clients is to ascertain what it is the client has, a large enough group of the target wants, that no one else has; and/or what it is the client has, a large enough group of the target wants, that others may seemingly have, but not at the client's low of a price. Once found, CMI concentrates the client's force, narrows its “front” and pursues, using a wide variety of creative messaging.
