Attended a funeral today that I had helped plan. We made the mistake of using the house " rent a minister. " In her eulogy, she basically rehashed the obituary.
That wasn't the worst part.
She misidentified an estranged daughter from a long ago previous marriage, as the still living wife of the deceased.
Hire a minister who does her homework. This one was an embarrassment.

Ira, Thank you for letting us know about this. Your feedback helps us do better when selecting a minister when a family has no affiliation. Although, this happened weeks ago, we are looking into this issue and hope to resolve it.

I was extremely pleased with the service Chandler provided for my mother. At a very difficult time, they took much stress out of planning and the day of the service. They were very helpful with setup and removal of flowers, etc. Jonathan was extremely helpful and responded to calls and emails quickly.

Spoke to Joe who felt the need to quiz me on their two locations. He never even knew why I was calling.

Just didn't feel respected by office staff in more than one interaction. Just wish it were better. We used a different funeral home on Concord Pike for another close family member a few years ago, and will go back to them if need be.

My son, daughter-in-law, and I were very pleased with the care and respect we received during the preparation and services for my husband, Loren. Everything was professionally handled and the service went beautifully. Joe Yasik was very accommodating and did a wonderful job in preparing the services we wanted. We appreciated Chad being there as a personal friend to Michael and Liz.
