Add ReviewI was admitted here in November 2012, following a suicide attempt. I was 12 years old. During group therapy, the nurse repeatedly asked me to explain my reasoning behind every visible cut, and continued asking until I started crying and left the room. Additionally, I was put on Abilify, an antipsychotic only approved for children as, essentially, a last resort. I was put on this after spending very little time talking with the doctor, and my parents were not informed of all the potential risks, including increased suicidal thoughts and action in children, despite the fact that I was there for a suicide attempt. If you want your child to get better and not worse, don't send them here.Report

I was sent to this place just for a week, and my group had been yelled at least 10 times. In one case, a fight had started and no staff members helped or did anything to prevent it. Another case, a girl had been having anxiety tics and couldn't control it, and the staff yelled at her to stop and to go inside. Another one that I had witnessed was our group getting yelled at by a staff member for not doing a *small* thing correctly.
Great staff! My first time in a behavioral center, and I'm impressed. Never would I feel embarrassed to go back. The staff and medicine brought my receptor levels back to normal. Jabaree, was One of the staff that stood out. Mainly all the staff stood out and we're professional. They accommodated to every patient. I'd recommend Cedar Crest to anyone in search of behavioral issues. Thanks Cedar Crest. May God bless everyone there!!!ReportRe: Great staff! My first tim ... Worst care. Some of the people they have working there is disgusting. They don't care about the patients and actually need to be a patient themselves. A lady Angela talks to patients about personal problems. They are there for their problems not the workers.Report
My daughter was accused of destroying property and other illicit activities and kicked out of a behavioral program. Was told by prior staff that the kids are abused. Stay clear!! This was 2021.Report
I used to recommend this place, but not anymore. I have been here consecutively for 6 years now. My most recent IOP stay was this year. Today was my last day. I felt like I wasn't being heard in the group and a lot of my issues were minimized and put on the back burner while others' issues were addressed. I asked for a refill on one of my meds and they never gave me a refill. I was discharged and nobody made sure I had what I need to get me through until I see my psychiatrist in January. I felt blown off. This place has gone downhill tremendously. I'm going back to my old habits. I've been left in the dark. I was literally discharged with my depression still being at a 10 and nobody is fighting hard with my insurance to let me stay.Report
