Our entire experience with Carolina Basement Systems was great-- from start to finish. Scheduling was easy. Doug T came out to the house to assess our crawl space and write up a quote. He took the time to explain our options and give recommendations. I had further questions the next day, and I was able to reach him via cell phone without issue. No pressure and very knowledgeable. Our encapsulation and dehumidifier install process took three days; Daniel B and his crew were friendly, communicative, and competent. Everything was installed as expected, and all our questions were answered along the way. My crawl space looks perfect, and we can finally use it as storage without worrying about musty smells and mold.

Carolina Basement Systems installed a full basement-dry system in our home. The house we bought had a full system installed incorrectly by AMCO in 2005. That system failed, due to improper installation (AMCO's owner refused to honor the lifetime warranty), and our finished basement was full of black mold. CBS removed the failed system and properly installed a new one, complete with covered French drains, a sump pump, and moisture barrier on the walls. During the 3 month process of determining exactly what was needed, through the install, we met with 5 CBS employees, who were all extremely knowledgeable, patient and professional (Doug, David, Kevin, Ben and John). Kevin, Ben and John did the actual installation, and were a top-notch crew. They were friendly, professional, skilled at their work, and very patient with me and my 3 young children as we observed them at work. They taught us all about our system, and cheerfully engaged my children in the process.
Their price and warranties were also the best out of the 4 basement companies that we got estimates from. We are very pleased with the job and look forward to a finished, dry basement!

I had to add to this review to mention the work that CBS also did on our porch! The front porch of our home was on a separate foundation from the house, and the foundation was settling, pulling the entire porch away from the house. David Duplessis of CBS diagnosed the problem and explained to us what was needed to correct the problem. Todd was the job foreman, assisted by JT and Justin. These men installed helical piers under our porch foundation to level it. Nick Castro and Anthony also pumped polylevel foam under the concrete floor of the porch to lift and level it as much as possible. All of these men were professional, courteous, knowledgeable about their work, patient with my family as we observed and questioned every step of their work.

My husband and I were so impressed with CBS that we hired their sister company, Klaus Roofing, to put a new roof and gutters on our house (yes, this house has been very expensive).

They gave us an estimate and work began quickly. We had a damp, nasty 47 year old crawl space that was a home to potential wood rot and maybe worse. We had mice and bugs galore. The old insulation was damp, and disintegrating badly and falling down everywhere. They removed and disposed of all that damp, nasty old insulation. They sealed our crawlspace with the best materials available, did a very professional and clean job. After they finished, you could not tell they were even on our property and I was astonished at how clean the crawlspace is now.
Our cooling bills have dropped slightly even when running the Sedona dehumidification unit. Our heating bills too are a bit less now with the colder weather. and our house does not even seem so dusty now with everything sealed up. We now use MERV 12 air filters in our HVAC system and that with the crawlspace work has made a remarkable difference in our home from a cleanliness, cooling and heating standpoint. I highly recommend Carolina Basement Systems for this type of work...I know there are others out there doing this work...but you won't find a better, more professional and dedicated team than this.!

My basement leaked terribly! After a professional inspection and review I was assured the problem could be fixed. A very friendly and responsive team came in to do the work. They went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. I highly recommend this company!

Jacob and his crew reinforced a part of flooring and lined the crawl space and installed a dehumidifier. This has resulted in a dry basement. Thanks go to them and to Dalton for the follow up call.

My initial review was not so great. However, Carolina Basement did come back and fix any issue. They are kind and professional. Wilberto and Jacob were very professional.
