I received a Christmas arrangement as a gift. It was spectacular upon arrival, a lovely arrangement. Unfortunately, just a few hours later, I noticed the hydrangeas looked droopy. By the next morning they were wilted, followed in quick succession by the baby roses, tulips and white conical flowers (Veronica?). 24 hours after delivery, the arrangement looked 5 days old, and was in no condition to be displayed as a centerpiece or otherwise. I topped off the water on delivery, and twice more during that first day, and the arrangement was far from any heat source. A complete disappointment, particularly as it was clear the arrangement was expensive and I hated to think of the gift-giver wasting their money that way. I called Carithers the next day after delivery to report the issue (no one answered, so I left a voicemail), and have yet to receive any response from them two business days later. I had a similar experience a few months ago, though that arrangement at least didn’t start wilting until late in the second day. As a result, I will think twice in future before ordering from them myself, and will have to find a nice way to tell my friends not to order expensive arrangements from them.
I am very happy with Moravian Florist. They make great arrangements and they look as pictured. I send the arrangements as gifts and the recipients love them.
