Candlewood Suites Bloomington

Friendly staff. Cleanliness is something that needs to be desired.

Very comfy room has a DVD player little mini kitchen with a stove pots and pans silverware full size refrigerator about anything you can think of and a recliner. Heck they even left mini Palmolive bottle with the dish towels. Very accommodating very nice.

I'm a travel RN and was staying at this property for my last 9 days of work. I don't need much more than a comfortable bed in a clean, safe room. Everything else is just about convenience to me. The staff was friendly, I'll give them that. But the first night, they couldn't even check us in at a decent time because their system was down and apparently there's no back up system to check in people when the computer is down... even with a reservation (pencil and paper perhaps?). When we did finally get a room and get into it, the toilet hadn't been flushed properly and there was stool and toilet paper left behind... we quickly learned that the toilet had to be flushed about 10 times to get anything to go down. The towel bars and hooks were loose and the shower curtain was ready to fall off the walls. I walked into the living area to call the front desk and found the phone didn't work. I walked down to the desk and spoke to the man there... he was apologetic and kind, and he walked back up to the room with me and attempted to work on the toilet. It was slightly better when he left, but still not functioning properly. I have to get up early for work and they had no other rooms available, so I checked the bed for cleanliness as I normally do with hotels, and I went to sleep. The next morning, I took my shower and went to lift my towel off the towel bar and the bar fell to the ground. They had given us a standard house phone and it didn't work either, so I stopped at the desk on my way out and told the morning desk person about the issues in my room. They said they would take care of it that day. I arrived back at the hotel after work and found that they had replaced the room phone and it functioned, the towel bars had been re-anchored to the wall, and the shower curtain rod was no longer loose. They had also fixed the toilet. They didn't repair the hooks, but we just decided we wouldn't use those. However, they left behind a huge mess from drilling through the drywall to repair the towel bars and never bothered to clean up their mess... and it wasn't just a little drywall dust... it was EVERYWHERE all over the bathroom floor. I did the best I could to locate a broom or mop with no luck and the front desk wasn't sure where one one was either. A few days later, housekeeping finally showed up and made the bed, but they just placed the bathroom trashcan over the drywall mess in the bathroom... right in front of the toilet like we wouldn't notice. You can't even get to the shower with the trashcan there... I called the front desk again, but no luck. Yes, I would have went elsewhere, but there were no rooms available in town due to a college game. As it was, it was stay here or sleep in our car..

Clean, Modern, Nice amenities. Great price for quality property.

It was Ok for a one night stay.

We found the room comfortable and roomy. Parking lot had plenty of spaces available.Location has great access to the I-69.

Hotel room was dated, and had a significant bug problem. Problem was escalated to front desk, but only partially taken care of.

The hotel was very dirty and our room had a horrible smell. We only stayed one night out of the 4 we originally scheduled and had to leave to check into another hotel because it was so bad!
