Buck Buckley's Total Basement Finishing

Sat through a 4.5 hour consultation to be told at the end that in order to get a quote that I'd need to find who originally finished the basement and I'd need to find out if the proper permits were pulled. If that is the company's policy how does not come up at the beginning of the consultation? I took a 1/2 day of work for absolutely nothing. Complete waste of time! They also only push their patent waterproof materials that didn't look that great.

The end product turned out nice but getting to that point was a nightmare. I had to project manage the entire project, the communication was very poor! I had to call and ask when people would be showing up. I even talked to the owner a few times and that didn't even help. The project itself was a large and expensive. They do not have any employees that work for them, they sub contract everything

My wife and I hired Buck Buckley's to build a bedroom and bathroom in our basement.

The subcontractors have been great. The rest of the operation is a total mess.

Scheduling has been a disaster. For example, we have no idea when the project will be finished or when contractors will show up next. Subcontractors work for a day or two and then the job sits again while the project manager starts to line up subcontractors again.

Next, I believe that they misrepresented the change orders. For example, after we signed the contract and paid, they advised us that we needed to pay an additional $2,000 because the plumber allegedly said that we needed a sewage ejector pump. This was not true. The plumber specifically advised against the ejector pump. They also charged me for an electrical sub-panel which the electrician said was unnecessary and didn't install.

In sum, I would look for different basement contractor that is honest and that will give you an estimated start and completion dates. If you don't mind paying top dollar with no idea of when your job will be done or when contractors will show up, Buck Buckley's is an acceptable option.

We have never heard from or seen Buck Buckley himself. I'm not sure if he's even involved in operations anymore.

Update: We were told we would hear from Buck Buckley himself, but he never followed up.

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE.

Very professional work with good quality materials.

Don't bother calling unless you are doing your entire basement. I asked for one room and they told me to contact a handyman. I am the handyman but I have too many other projects to take care of and looking to outsource a few. A 10x13 room was to small for them.

Buck Buckley's Total Basement Finishing couldn't have been more professional with us throughout the process. We originally were looking to get a quote on our basement so we knew the dollars we'd have to save over the next couple years to get it done. Buck Buckley's not only helped with financing, but also came up with three different layouts for our basement based on affordability.

Once we committed to our plan, they gave us a timeline of when everything will be done. *I'm sure this won't happen for everybody,* but they came in under budget and finished before the 6-8 week timeline they gave us.

Our basement went from wasted space to the space we now spend most of our family time. I'd highly recommend Buck Buckley's Total Basement Finishing to anybody looking at finishing their basement.

They came back after a year and a half to work on my basement, because I had some minor issues. Bob and Dave saved the day and I thank them for their professionalism. Basement looks great! Thanks Buck, Bob, and Dave!

They did a great job! Took a little longer than I expected but the turnout made the wait worth it!
