About Browning Insurance Agency

Browning Insurance Agency, Inc is one of the oldest established insurance agencies in the state of Florida. The agency was founded in 1907 by L. D. Hathaway. In 1932, Alfred McKethan purchased the agency from Mr. Hathaway. Ed Browning joined the agency in 1954 and moved his family to Brooksville from Durham, North Carolina. In 1955, the name of the agency changed to McKethan Browning Insurance Agency. In 1969, the name was altered for the final time. When Ed Browning passed away in 1972, his three sons took over the agency and remain today as the principal agents. Mark is the President of Browning Insurance Agency. His brother Scott runs the Spring Hill branch office and Tom manages the commercial accounts.
