Dr. Ann Eliopulos has spent the past 32 years working with animals. After working as a vet tech, animal control officer, shelter manager, and various other animal related positions, she realized pets and their people were her life and passion. She graduated from U.C. Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. Her special areas of interest are internal medicine, emergency medicine, geriatric medicine, behavior and surgery.
Ryan Lorber, DVM
Dr. Ryan Lorber grew up in Cincinnati and graduated from Iowa State University in 2007. After working in Dana Point for 5 years he moved down to San Diego and started working at Bodhi in 2012. He really enjoys dentistry and the daily challenges of being a small animal veterinarian.
Heather Powers, DVM
Dr. Heather Powers is originally from New York, but she received her DVM from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She completed a one year internship in small animal internal medicine, cardiology, dermatology, oncology, and emergency medicine in 2006, at Bay Area Veterinary Specialists in the East San Francisco Bay Area. Dr. Powers has diversified clinical interest in emergency medicine, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. She hopes to pursue acupuncture in the near future. The brachycephalics such as the French Bulldog, hold a special place in her heart. Dr. Powers shares her home with a Border Collie, Bobbi, and a Frenchie, Bebe.
Stefanie Young, DVM
Dr. Stefanie Young has always been passionate about helping animals and decided she wanted to become a veterinarian at 5 years of age. She has been working with animals in different capacities since she was a teenager, including volunteering at Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Following graduation, she completed a 1 year Small Animal Emergency Internship at Pet Emergency and Specialty Center in San Diego. Her special areas of interest are surgery and emergency medicine. Other interests include cake decorating, exercising, spending time with her family, eating sushi and all the outdoor activities that San Diego has to offer.
Carol Gabrielson, DVM
Dr. Carol Gabrielson dreamed of becoming a veterinarian since elementary school, and now is living the dreaming of caring for pets and the people who love them. She graduated from U.C. Davis Veterinary School in 1995. She is a general medicine doctor who loves to follow pets through all life stages and the challenges that each one uniquely presents.
Tracey Hayes, DVM
Dr. Tracey Hayes moved from northeastern Ohio to become part of the Bodhi family in January 2015. She received her veterinary degree from Ross University in 2013 and completed her clinical rotations at Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Hayes loves working closely with people to keep their furry family members happy and healthy. She values great communication to best understand the holistic picture of physical, behavioral and the emotional health of the entire family. She plans to become board certified in canine and feline general practice through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, and to work more closely with the shelters and rescue organizations in San Diego.
In her spare time, she enjoys running, biking, tennis, swimming, reading, the occasional triathlon or marathon, and spending time with her husband, friends, and family of three cats. Dr. Hayes is a member of the AVMA, CVMA, AAFP, OVMA, San Diego Veterinary Medical Association, and is fully accredited with the USDA and APHIS.
Tara has been with the Bodhi family since December of 2014. Born in California and raised in Oregon, she has since lived all over California. She has an Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology from Pierce College in Los Angeles. Tara enjoyed a career as a technician for six years before becoming part of Bodhi's management team. As Practice Manager, Tara works alongside Dr. E. to insure that our hospital is the best that it can be for you and your pet. In her free time she enjoys hiking, gardening, and spending time with her husband, Jason, and their two terrier mixes, Mike and Molly. Tara loves interacting with pets and their people. Being part of the community and providing a great experience for both person and pet are her highest priorities.
