Add ReviewSandblasting (or Abrasive Blasting) is, as its name implies, abrasive to the material being blasted. It abrades the substrate in order to remove paint, rust or other undesirable materials. Abrasive blasting can also be used for paint prep as well as creating profiles desired for certain painting applications. Along with sandblasting, Billings offers what is called Slurry/Wet Sandblasting. This method of blasting uses water to keep dust levels down during the blasting process. It also can be used to very gently wash/clean historic and delicate substrates. Walnut Shell Blasting and Baking Soda Blasting are a gentle, environmentally friendly method of removing paint, dirt, grime, mold and smoke residue from almost any surface including metal, wood, plastic, masonry and tile. Some of the many uses include stripping of anti-fouling bottom paint from boats, paint from cars and trucks, graffiti from buildings, mold remediation and fire/smoke restoration.
