Went to Beaverton Toyota to assist my daughter in getting a Tundra lease for her husband for Christmas.Report
Immediately upon entering, there were tons of salespeople just standing around waiting. Besides their timing being way off, saying something would be 5 minutes and taking a half an hour, or telling us the vehicle would be ready when we got there, but it was on a different lot and take 15 minutes to get there, it was the misrepresentation that took me over the edge.
We got through the financial details, and then it got down to all the add ons they try to sell you. My daughter passed on almost everything but the gap insurance, and they convinced her to buy the ceramic coating, wheel, and interior repair bundle. She wasn't sure if her husband would want that. The salesman told her that if he didn't want it, they could return for a refund, just don't make any appointments before doing so. Sounded reasonable.
Forward to after Christmas, and they went back to the dealership for the refund, for he didn't want the package. Here's where the misinformation/omission of information happens. Although they'll return the package, their monthly payment doesn't go down. They just reduce the lease by 3 months. Might not seem like a huge deal, but the salesperson, knowing full well that's an important detail, left it out. So they're stuck paying an extra $80 a month more.
As a side note, a different salesman was seemingly taking advantage of an elderly lady buying a Toyota on the table behind us. He literally sold her on every additional package they offer. Even the packages our salesman said weren't worth it or pointless. I kept looking behind me and shaking my head at the salesman in disgust. Shame on me for not doing something more.
Earlier this year, I purchased a Tacoma for Lillard Toyota in Mcminville and leased a Tundra from Lithia Toyota in Springfield, both quite a drive. But the difference in atmosphere, personable sales staff, true to their word, and explaining everything someone would need to know, even if it went against their best financial interest, is the total opposite of Beaverton Toyota. I would never recommend Beaverton Toyota to anyone, even if it meant losing out on a better deal. Slimy FR.

Took my car there after calling them and speaking with someone pleasant who said I could just bring my car in and see someone in sales that would help me (I can't sync the infotainment system on the used car I bought from another place).
I get to sales and am greeted with 2 other salespeople waiting to assist me but am told to go to Service instead. Spend 30 minutes in service with a "greeter" who said he'd have to look up my VIN number to see if my car had any ability to use Apple Car Play, etc. Comes back in 20 minutes and presents me with a sheet of paper with car information and circling that my car is not compatible with Apple Car play.
I drive home frustrated and then review the sheet he gave me and it's NOT EVEN FOR MY CAR-wrong VIN and wrong mileage, etc. They did NOT want to help me and lied to make me go away.
This is my first Toyota and I was thinking this would be where I'd take it for service, etc. but no way. Makes me grateful that I didn't buy from them. You get one chance to make a first impression and they blew it. Don't recommend.

Our sales guy Jared was so helpful and did such a great job. The whole process was seamless and Jared and the team worked hard to get us the best deal ever instead of us feeling like we needed to bargin and haggle for a good price. We love our new car and I also love the security of the additional warranties that they offered. Great experience all around and we walked away with the perfect car in just over 3 hours.Report
