I think of a full 5-star rating as equivalent to a numerical grade of 90% - 100%. Overall, I evaluate Bay's work on my crawlspace encapsulation as being in this "A" range.
Both the office-based and on-site project staffs (including Bay's employees and associated contractors) were a pleasure to do business with. I appreciate the work of all involved - those with whom I personally interacted and the number of additional individuals who made things happen. Bay's customer service also includes abundant, consumer-friendly information on its website.
In the office, Christa, Mikki, and Cindy were very helpful regarding administrative aspects of the job, including coordination with Amy about payment arrangements.
Carrying out work at the house were, at various times: Dave, the advisor on the plan of action for the crawlspace; James and Jermaine (insulation-removal team); Brandon (contract pest control); Vincent (contract electrician), who educated me about the electrical connections he and his assistant Freddy put in; and, performing the bulk of the installation work, the team of Mike (crew leader), Floyd, Quay, Alex, and Elgin. Additionally, Nathan of Bay Crawlspace provided service integral to successfully resolving an equipment issue.
I was able to be at home during the timeframes (various parts of seven days) that each portion of the job required. Therefore, the on-site personnel and I could communicate on the spot about circumstances as they arose. Fortunately, factors that can affect production (as Bay lets customers know about) aligned to allow for project completion on schedule. It's mighty satisfying to now glance at the wireless unit in my kitchen and see that the newly-encapsulated crawlspace's sensor shows humidity right in the target range.

Pros and cons. The foremen and crews were excellent – professional, considerate, answered all my tedious questions, gave me status reports, let me know when they were coming and going, and addressed any concerns I had. Special shout out to Rad, Troy, and the electrician, Vinnie. I have only a couple of not-so-great issues. First, communication between crew and office and office to me regarding scheduling wasn't perfect. After 3 days of work, the office only scheduled a couple hours of punch list items when there was still over 2 days of work to do, and they scheduled the crew to return to my house on another day, but didn't tell me. I learned about it when I got the confirmation call the day before they were coming. I was told at time of contracting that the job would take 2, maybe 3 days, but crews were at my house 7 non-consecutive days (incl. insulation removal) over a period of 19 days. The second not-so-great issue is that I thought I'd get more than 3 "after" photos, especially considering I was unable to inspect their work before handing over a check for over $17K and that I got 17 "before" photos to convince me to get the work done. The biggest regret I have about the encapsulation is that none of the companies I received quotes from, including Bay, told me how annoying the noise from the dehumidifier under the main living area of my house would be. It sounds like my neighbor is mowing his lawn on-and-off all day every day. So one of the things I have loved about my "forever" home was that it was always so quiet, but I can never have that any more. If I had known that I would have to listen to that motor/fan noise for the rest of my life while living in this house, I absolutely would not have chosen the encapsulation solution.

Fantastic company to work with. We had to get a new beam installed under our house several years ago and went ahead and did the encapsulation at the same time. They were the best reviewed and most thorough of the companies we had come out. They did an amazing job and we've had them back out each year for an inspection and to change filters in the dehumidifier. Troy and Josh were out today for the annual inspection. They were prompt and thorough and just amazing to deal with.

The Bay Crawlspace team we had service our home was of the highest caliber of professionals. Very efficient of their time and of mine. I would highly recommend them to anyone having crawl space issues.

They are a fantastic company to work with. Years ago when we needed some work done in our crawlspace we had 3 companies come out. They provided the best value for the work needed and seemed the most thorough in their inspection.

We had a supplemental beam installed plus went ahead with an encapsulation. They did great work and we've been very happy. Each year we have them come out to inspect everything and change the filters in the dehumidifier. They are always prompt and reliable.
