    Auto Europe was by far the cheapest for car hire in Cairns. Cheapest by at least $300 for the exact same car with other companies.
    Highly recommended.

    I have used Auto Europe on numerous occasions over several years now and I have never had an issue. I compare their quoted rates and they are always very competitive. Whenever I've had to make an enquiry, change, cancel, or had an issue with the vehicle supplier, Auto Europe customer service has been excellent: prompt response times, courteous, helpful and resolved to my complete satisfaction.

    Poor follow up regarding a car hire vendor (Avis) who didn't honour the Auto Europe voucher when picking up our car in the UK and charged my credit card for half of the car rental. Auto Europe advised that it takes up to 20 days for Avis to reply to Auto Europes emails?? Over a month since I notified Auto Europe of the problem and still no refund organised. I had to get the bank to put a dispute to get my money back.
    Auto Europe were no help. You are better off booking with the rental car agency than using a broker such as Auto Europe, it will save you less hassles.

    I ordered via Auto Europe an automatic car and it was not made available, instead we were given a manual. I organised to come back the next day and pick up an automatic car. We were told to go away and call a number. We tried closing the number for over 5 hours and it was only at 9pm that we got through to a gentleman called Vincenzo, who was not happy and told us off for calling so late. He told us to drive to Lamezia which was a 60km drive one way for us, and we were told they knew nothing about this and that no car was available for us. We then left for Reggio having been told that they would bring us a car before 5pm after we advised them we need to go to Messina the following day. However by 5pm there was no car and continued to ring the company and no-one responded.

    The following day being Thursday (September 19th) we finally got in touch with the company at 9am and the lady that answered told us she would call us back. We waited all day waiting for a call and again our calls went unanswered. So I went to Avis in Reggio Calabria that evening to ask what was going on with out car and the guy behind the counter told us that it had nothing to do with him and that we had to speak to Lamezia.

    We told him we were not leaving until he called Lamezia, which he did and said he would organise a car for us on Friday afternoon. Which meant we had to cancel our trip and lost our bookings for Messina. So Friday (September 20th) we went back and saw that gentlemen in Reggio and we FINALLY picked up the car we had ordered. Upon returning our car on 3rd October, to Avis in Lamezia, the lady (Olinda) that served us told us that she did not want to hear our complaint and could not help us because we did not get the car from her. It was not her problem apparently, despite her branch messing us around and running our holiday.

    This ruined our holiday completely and we missed out on Messina, lost one from the bookings and wasted 4 days of our holiday after flying many hours from Australia.

    I paid for a car in full in advance. When I arrived, it had been given to someone else. Even though they took my money and did not supply any goods/services, they have refused a refund.
    They claim they are out of pocket even though they leased the same car twice.
    Scammers. Deal with someone else.

    I would never use this company again. They are just a go between, better off dealing with the hire companies direct. I booked three cars in europe recently, all were a problem and Autoeurope were no help. 5 weeks later it is still not resolved. If I could give them a negative rating I would.

    Impeccable customer service! Were on call for any question I had and our car rental went as smoothly as possible. I highly recommend this company for your car rental. We had our car waiting for us and was such a smooth transaction.

    I am not recomend this company. We book the car through their website.
    After couple of days they ask to send copy of my passport and credit card.
    They ask 3 more times to send passport copy. Every time uder email was new operator of company. Day before renting car they simply make cancellation of our booking without any explanation. Because of unprofessional service of this company, we lost time and money.

    WORST SERVICE and all these ADDED costs when I went to pick up the car. Do NOT book through here it was cheaper to book through the actual company in the end. Jasmine working at the Stansted Alamo counter sure doesn't like her job.

    If 90mins late for collection = CONTRACT IS VOID!...no refund, no $ roll-over for another vehicle.
    However customer service will help you rehire another car through them...Does that sound like a scam to you?
