Howard Schutzman is an amazing Dr. I have been here before years ago and most recently today with my elder moms dog. He was kind, honest and we knew right from the first minute of conversation about my mom's dog that he genuinely cared the his well being. We were happy before at this place and now we are sold. It is hard to find good places and staff like this. We can't thank you enough. Please know it is much appreciated and even from the little guy (Happy) who can't thank you himself.

No sympathy or empathy. Turn away people, rejecting people in the case of emergency because they don't want to try. Think about how trying will run their reputations affect their income--a disgusting place. I don't understand why it is called a hospital if it's not trying to save a life. Maybe it should be called simple care instead of a hospital. Don't value life. Stay away, cold heart. The puppy needs immediate care. They suggest euthanasia shot, heartless. The puppy died after 30 minutes of their rejection of direct care. It is not like we are not going to pay. Who gives you the power to decide when a life is not worth saving. Who gives you the chance to determine the survival rate. Heartless. Have you ever picture yourself as the puppy wants to survive and the doctor takes a look at you, declares you will not live or even be worth saving. Horrible place, just so horrific. The reception who helped us is a cold heart dude. He gives us this cold gaze like the animal's life is not matter to him. If he is such a cold heart, why would this clinic hire him? What an awful person. My mom is crying and begging him, just please try to save the puppy. We understand the circumstances, but we still want to give the puppy a chance. We would pay, no matter how much it cost. But it seems he doesn't care. What kind of hospital is this? If this clinic believes that there is no value in pets' lives. Why step into the field of medicine. Where is the moral standard? If you want to turn into a full business operation, start with something that is has nothing to do with life. I'm not too fond of this place. Never bring your pets here. Stay away, read all those bad reviews.

I've been bringing my furbabies to this group since 2008. We have 3 senior cats and one adult dog.
Even when I lived in San Francisco for a time, I made the drive, because I trust in and adore the quality of care, level of professionalism and the kindness and willingness to help that they offer here. My Husband and I joke that if Kaiser were as good as this place, we'd never worry again.
We're moving out of state, and I'm already very concerned about finding another vet that can offer this same level of care. I wish I could take them with us!

EDIT: We ended up relocating further East outside of the Bay Area instead of out of state, and we still won't trust any other vet. Still make the drive.
UPDATE 2020: My eldest feline girl passed, and this vet did everything they could. I was moved to tears by the card I received after her death.

We've been taking our boy Flynn (2 year old Cocker Spaniel) to the groomers - Julie and now Salvador as well--since he was a very extra-floofy 6 months old. He can be a bit touchy sometimes so I was nervous. But, we have been happy with Julie & Salvador's treatment & grooming of Flynn. The whole staff has been professional & attentive even through the challenges of Covid. We switched from our long-time vet to Antioch vet, too so we could have everything in one spot. No complaints. Very happy. Flynn goes in a filthy, fire sooty/ashy, fluffy, mess and comes out a sparkling white happy boy which makes his mamas happy, too!

Today I had to put down my 17 year old Dachschund. This location had a private outdoor area and allowed you to be present with the proper PPE. The level of care and compassion That was given to me by EVERY staff member that assisted me was absolutely outstanding. They truly care and it shines with their compassion and professionalism. I highly recommend Antioch Veterinary Hospital. Folks, from the bottom of my heart, Thank you.
