Andrew Bowen Studios

My son had an absolutely wonderful experience at Andrew Bowen Studios. Andrew made sure Liam was comfortable from the get go, even giving him a tour of his studio space on zoom prior to the photoshoot. My son was fully encouraged to lead the shoot in whichever creative direction he choose and as a result he had a blast and really enjoyed himself, so much so that the time flew by far too quickly. Andrew has a unique ability to really capture the inner artist and the photos he took are simply breathtaking. Andrew Bowen Studios is a dancer's (and a parent's) dream!!

Andrew is absolutely wonderful to work with. This was the first time my child has ever done anything like this and it was such a good experience. My dancer is more shy/reserved than most and Andrew worked with us to get a collection of images that are absolutely fabulous. If we were short on ideas he always had something to suggest. We went in for audition pictures and some fun creative shots, and we left with an increase in confidence that has been so immensely beneficial. The dance world can be tough and it's easy to be hard on yourself, but Andrew's photography will show yourself parts of you that you may be keeping hidden.

Andrew is truly a collaborative artist who works with the dancer/subject. He allows great freedom in imagination (within safety parameters and reason) and works to capture the best image possible. It truly was a relaxing and fun photo shoot.

Each part of the process was incredible. Andrew Bowen started with clear communication and even did a Zoom call to explain everything and show us the space since we live quite a distance.

Mr. Bowen was professional, kind, and truly collaborated with my ballerina to get the most exquisite photos. My daughter has been on cloud 9 from the experience!!

Thank you, Sasha!! Working with your ballerina made for a wonderful day, and I loved seeing her gain confidence and assert what she wanted as the day progressed. I'm looking forward to seeing how her love of ballet grows and where her art leads.

Andrew Bowen is the real deal! We never imagined there would be a professional photographer with the skills to make dancers visions come to life until we met Andrew. Every step (the pre planning and exchange of ideas - tour of the studio space - the creative process) were all done with the comfort and input of the dancer as the priority. It all shows in the photographs and we couldn't be more happy with the results!

Thank you, Noelle!!! I was so wonderful to work with your dancer and create the images that showed her best and her spirit. I look forward to a next time when we can work more ideas and showcase the dancer she's constantly becoming.

I would highly recommend booking an artistic collaboration with Andrew Bowen! When we started the session, Andrew said that his goal was for us to have a few photos that would be 'museum gallery quality.' We walked away with more than a dozen shots that we were proud to show off.

The session started with a virtual tour of Andrew's studio to ensure we would be comfortable walking in. We brainstormed a few ideas and packed a bag for a day-long studio session. During the day, my daughter was a co-creator in the photos. As a girl-dad, one of Andrew's talents is coaching girls to speak up and be a part of the artistic process. And, when my daughter didn't care for a couple of the photos, he deleted them immediately. We never felt rushed, pressured, or stressed.

Andrew Bowen is amazing to work with, from his pre-shoot consultations to the beautiful final products. His studio is well-equipped, and the he has everything from Gatorade to hair pins to snacks and tutus. He is a true collaborator who understands dance technique and is committed to creating work that both he and the dancer are proud to share. He is a great photographer, but he is more than that. He is truly an artist who brings creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to sessions. I'm very thankful my daughter had the opportunity to work with him, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a fabulous dance photographer.

This shoot was such a positive experience for me. I had never had my dancing photographed by a professional before, but I'm so glad that I did. The entire time, I had so much fun getting to choose exactly what I wanted to do, wear, and the colors I wanted (with lots of helpful advice from Mr. Bowen). I got so many shots that I'm so happy with and a great work out in the process. I had so much fun and came out feeling so happy. I highly recommend Andrew Bowen Photography.
