The leasing team is awesome and made the experience great. Althea took me on the virtual tour and always was available for questions. The move-in went smoothly and the apartment is very nice and very quiet. The building is clean and so far I couldn't be happier for choosing this apartment complex.

We had a terrible time at Alexan Webster. We had to move out after about 6 weeks because the noise from the nearby AU lounge was so loud on the weekends no one in my family could sleep. We complained to management, to the City of Oakland, and we called the police non-emergency number but nothing helped. We ended up spending a lot of money on hotels during the weekends just so we could sleep. Management was very nice, and the building was beautiful. We wish this would have worked out.

While external noise is beyond our control, we aim to be very transparent that we're in an active area of town. Part of the allure of the community is that everything Oakland has to offer is within a short walk or drive. Leasing agent was always helpful and communication was prompt from start to end. Apartment is high end and spacious. Community is beautiful and has many amenities.

These are nice apartments, well taken care of with good amenities. The issue I have that has led to the 1 star is related to the covid deals. In person the leasing team would present one set of numbers and information, and then in the lease agreement and documents they changed the numbers to be more expensive than the spoken agreement. Initially they told me I had made a mistake, then when I said I would find another place with fewer fees, they changed their mind and offered me the initial deal but would not give me back my deposit (which in person they said was flexible). Overall, they are very sweet in person but it does not seem to extend to on paper transparency or compassion.

With regard to the holding deposit, we are very transparent that these are nonrefundable after 24 hours and have nothing to do with any particular special. I have an unconventional review. I have been living here a few months and I was surprised to see 4 different rooms across the street at Alta Waverly recently move out. I decided to read their latest reviews and it just makes me so grateful that Im not experiencing any of those things here at alexan.

In previous apts I have also had loud upstairs neighbors before, so when I moved in, I kid you not I put my ear against the walls and the floor for extended periods of time to see if I could hear anything. This was also during covid so this would be normal daytime for people that work from home. I didnt hear a peep, I can barely hear anything except sometimes the air conditioning if its on. Other than that everything has been great, parking, safety, amenities, packages, management team jasmine especially. You know it's great when the management team also lives in the building

Beautiful Property and Apartment is brand new, good location, close to downtown and lake Merritt, Restaurants, coffee,..etc

I've been living at the facility for almost a half year and I have been very satisfied with the quality of service. Rafael and the team are doing a great job at keeping the facility up to the standards and are always very responsive with any request.
