After having used ACS for over a decade, I will not be calling them back. Well, they won't call me back so it may not matter. My furnace was down, and after a couple weeks the tech came out, and told me he'd have parts the following week, and would be coming back to make the repairs. After following back up with the tech and the office a more than a half dozen times (they never once reached out directly to me), without resolution or clear direction/timing of the repair, I decided to call a different outfit who had me back up and running in a day. The other outfit I called rewired the furnace and made some corrections to how the unit was wired and set up to operate (numerous wires were jumped out and the thermostat controller was wired wrong?). Not sure what is going on at ACS but they don't appear to deliver the same customer service they did in the past. It's disappointing.ReportRe: After having used ACS for ... Duct cleaning/equipment replacement service was overbooked or misscheduled and had to be rescheduled 3 different times. Taking full mornings off from work each time for the "2 hour window" only to discover to the surprise of even the techs on the final visit, the equipment wouldn't work! Poor guy... plus and insult to injury, discovered the equipment to be replaced wasn't being done today anyway. After all these different reschedules, still didnt have the part in hand to to that bit. They always no call, no show. I can't remember the last time they actually came when they said they would. Last summer I bought a house. The AC needed replacement upon purchase if the house. I contacted AC Specialist and hired them to do my massive project of a full AC replacement including duck work. I had Brandon and his father (who I can't remember his name) as installers.Report
Brandon was great, no complaints with Branson at all. His father in the other hand had Branson do everything, all he did in the job site was smoke and talk on the phone. Talked trash about the owners of AC specialist.
Once the project was complete I was told it would work amazing, how far from the truth that was. I had another tech come out while my system was still under full warranty, keep in mind, this tech also worked for AC Specialist. He said the duck work was wrong and some parts were "damaged" upon install. He wrote me up a ticket, said it would be taken care of and to expect a call wishing a week.
Fast forward a week, nothing from AC Specialist or the tech. I reach out, get a appointment scheduled. No show. After a couple days of trying to get ahold of them I finally was able to reschedule, I once again got a no show. I got back in touch with them again and they promised the tech would come out this time. And one again it was a no show.
Now here I am, really regretting using this company. I have been more then fair, I have not yelled, been rude, or had any attitudes towards any associate in the company. I have been more then patient and simply want my system to work like new as it should.
I do not recommend this company unless you wanna feel like you were robbed out of your hard earned money and want to have your time wasted over & over.
If AC Specialist does not honor the warranty that I have and continued documentation from their techs stating I have damaged equipment that THEY broke upon installing. The technician, Mr. Upton, did a great job! Unfortunately, the refund I was supposed to receive, due to the fact that the part installed was covered by Trane's warranty, has never been sent. I have called several times during the past 2 months and spoken with different people - who...promised the refund, told me someone would call me back but no one did, advised me there had been some personnel changes, thus some organizational issues I guess, etc. - still no refund.
