Acton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

Had an issue with my daughter's 2015 Jeep Cherokee. I contacted another Jeep dealership closer to where I live but was treated so horribly on the phone that there was no way I was going to do business there. I then contacted the service department at Acton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and spoke with Rodney. Right from the start it was a completely different experience. Rodney was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. While it took a couple of trips back to get the repair done completely, Rodney was incredibly accommodating. Although it's a longer drive from my home, going forward our cars will be serviced at Acton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.

Went in to get details on registering my car with a Purple Heart plate, handicapped guy took his time to write instructions so I could get it done.

Do not bring your vehicle here for maintenance. A mechanic at this dealership snapped my emergency brake cable and left my Jeep with a slew of electrical problems including malfunctioning ABS/Traction Control, rear defroster, and air vents when I brought it in to have the heater core fixed. The most disgraceful part is they refused to admit wrongdoing and tried to make me pay for the damages they caused to my vehicle. Avoid this dealership.

Very sorry for your fruystration. Your Jeep is 10 model years old and has over 100,000 miles on it. The heater core replacement that we performed is pretty major surgery so it's certainly possible that we disturbed something.... and if so we will absolutely resolve it (we corrected your parking brake system for you previously). It's also possible that unrelated repair conditions can occur on a vehicle this old at any time just based on its age and mileage. In any case, we understand that you have an appointment to drop your Jeep off on the 15th and we will investigate the situation to see what we can do to get your Jeep straightened out for you.

Update to earlier review: After further discussion I was informed that I purchased a product from a third-party, rather than prepaying for oil changes from Acton Dodge. They did go above and beyond in offering to help in trying to work with Mopar to recover some value (which I declined).

They were nice enough, but still only 3 stars. Prepaid service plans are a rip off and shouldn't be sold.

Earlier review: I was talked into prepaying for oil changes, and later found out that they are not transferrable to a new car. They would neither refund my money or honor the oil changes. So lame.

Justin, we researched your request after reading your review and spoke to you by phone. On 11/14/2018 you purchased a discounted 2 year / 4 oil change package from Mopar (the manufacturer) for your Dodge Durango. That plan was valid on your vehicle at any CDJR dealership. You subsequently redeemed 2 services with us. Your plan expired on 11/13/2020. On August 16, 2021 you called us and asked to have a no charge oil service done on a used Suburban that you purchased privately. While the plan on your Durango was both valid at all CDJR stores and transferrable to the next owner of your Durango, a) it had expired and b) it was not applicable on a GM product. We are sorry that the program you purchased disappointed you but a review of the circumstances does not reveal any mishandling by Acton CDJR and your 1 star review seems a bit untoward. We had to go back for a second time in two weeks with nearly the same problem.

Acton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram found the second problem and fixed it. We'd be happier if they found both causes the first time but it is understandable that they would assume they'd solved it since the car worked after the first repair and the error messages cleared up. That only lasted for 22 miles. At least the second time we didn't need a tow truck to get the car to the dealer.

Our bigger frustration is with Dodge and the Dodge Dart (2013). Dodge stopped making the Dodge Dart. Based on our experience with this car, that was a good decision but it'd be nice if they'd made enough parts to do repairs for 10 years or so. Better yet they should've bought the cars they did sell back from the customers. Ours has had a series of issues including needing a transmission replacement with only 50,000 miles or so on it. We still have an unresolved issue with the bluetooth phone connection. Hoping we don't need a new Bluetooth module as it seems those are no longer available.
