2 days before we were due to sail, we received an email from A2A saying that the 2xSUP's that were included in our contract would not be provided because we were now doing a bare boat charter with no skipper. (that was despite as advising that we would not require a skipper weeks earlier, when they had failed to provide us with a list of potential skippers as promised. Also the provision of the free SUP's was NEVER contingent upon us hiring a skipper.) They 'kindly' offered us the opportunity to rent the SUP's for 120 Euro each per week. Fortunately, when we arrived at the base, the Whitesail company did not have a problem with supplying the SUP"s at all, so I am not sure what the 'confusion' was about in the first place and who would have received the 2x120 euros had we accepted the offer. Very happy with Whitesail - not so happy with A2A.

Dear Mick As already explained to Tony and Yvonne, your review falls short on truth on many aspects and it should be removed. Firstly, You tried to renegotiate an already heavily discounted and agreed deal after you requested and received a contract. Thats not shopping around; its illegal at times or at least frowned upon, as many boat owner companies would not approve any further discount. Secondly, you booked a skippered charter and were liable for paying skipper fees. You cannot simply cancel a skipper without paying his fees. Sailing resumees are also provided and approved by White Sails or owner companies, not us as agents. We only provide them when available to us. You should be thankful for not paying skipper fees rather than upset about discount and free SUP. Finally, 2x SUP were provided for free following our comment "not available unless something changes in the last 24h". WhiteSails approved free SUP in those last 24h and on our initiarive, while you were travelling. Your review is therefore misleading, illegal and shoud be removed as you have received a great service and a great boat. For one contract you can also write only one fair review. You and Mick and Yvonne coming together to write several 1-star reviews are illegal and do not represent actual situation.

As you would expect, we shopped around. When we did one of A2A Yachting representatives accused us of playing games. He was rude. However, they appeased us by offering 2 stand-up paddle-boards. The day before our hire they wrote to us advising that because we cancelled our skipper, which was done so because they promised us skipper references that were never sent, and instead we got our ICC yachting licence, they cancelled our 2 stand-up paddle-boards. We disputed this and advised them that this was part of our contract, which clearly made no difference to them. They caused our family no end of grief; however, when we arrived to sign off and pay our holding fees etc. the lady managing the process from White sails made sure they were available. I would suggest that if you are looking to get a Catamaran or any sailing vessel that you go direct to White Sails and save your self the drama of dealing with a third party. Don't make the same mistake as us.
