The restaurant scene in Portland is among the most vibrant and interesting in the country. 23 Hoyt steps up to the plate with (former college softball player) Chef Amber Webster. Amber moved from San Diego in late 2010 with the recommendation of her mentor and former boss, chef Jason Neroni. Amber brings a gutsy, farm-to-table sensibility to the 23 Hoyt menu and a light hand with hearty and satisfying dishes such as pork cassoulet and handmade pasta dishes. The crave-able menu (with the best burger in town) still fits within the realm of "gastro-pub" with familiar offerings that exceed expectations on your first bite.
