Very rude on the phone

Do not, I repeat do not, use this place to purchase sod if you are just picking up some pieces to repair your yard. We purchased half a pallet and did not have a truck to take it all with us, so we had to load it in our sedan to take on multiple trips. We had over estimated the sod by a decent amount and, even though we never took receipt of all the sod, 1 Stop Sod would not return our money back to us and threatened to only allow us to pickup the sod for one more day before they would not honor our purchase. These guys are shady. They may be alright when buying bulk, but I suggest going across the street if you are a normal Joe Schmo and need sod. Also, the woman at the front desk is the most unprofessional person I have ever met. She acts as if your are inconveniencing her, yells, bangs on her desk, and throws stuff around. Save yourselves a headache and some lost money.

Terrible customer service. I stopped by to purchase some sod to replace some of my front lawn. The lady at the front desk was not helpful at all. She pointed to some totally dead beige sod they had thrown out front and said I could purchase that sod. I told her that (the sod she'd pointed to) is much worse than the grass I wanted to replace. She then arrogantly let me know I'd have to wait while she asked her boss if it was OK for me to buy the greener sod they had out back. Are you kidding me??? I have to beg for better quality grass that I'm purchasing? Needless to say, I simply walked out and told her not to bother. Incredible.

I hired a company who bought the Sid from One stop. From the very beginning the grass looked like hay and dead. It was all dry dirt and sand. (I wish I could upload pictures to show you) When I got home and noticed the grass I immediately called the lawn guy and told them this grass is dead and I wasn't going to pay for the sod. He said water it. Twice a day and in a week it will come back. i did that I started seeing very little green grass come through so giving him the Benift of the doubt I sent him the 300.00 because I had used him a few time in the past with no problems. 3 weeks go by and nothing grass is still horrible a lot of dirt very little grass. I called him he told I wanted this replaced he told me he got it from 1 stop sod they would replace the sod. I called them talked to the owner Frank. Explained to him the whole situation was very helpful at first told me to change the watering patterns. (Frank will over whelm you with advice on the phone telling you what it could be, what to do, what to use ect.)
And give it more time. After a month and a half still nothing call him back tells me now I sounds like I have fungus, root rot and web worm. I told him the sod came from you. If anything it was sold to me that way. Long story short after a bunch more info which is overwhelming he tells me of a call a specific fertilizer company to come look at the lawn. I did that company tells me the grass was already stressed and dead when we got it. It would be a miracle and they couldn't guarantee it would come back. They told me to replace it. I have the proof. I sent the write up the fertilizer company gave me to Frank at one stop and they also found the receipt from the lawn guy who bought the lawn proving he bought the sod the same day he laid it. After doing research which took a while because there company is still paper based and NOT computer based they told me they would get back to me. That never happened I always had to call them to find out the status of my refund and how they were going to fix this problem.
About 2 weeks ago I called them to see if Frank looked over all the pictures, emails and the write up from the fertilizer company the slash that answers the phone told me he had to leave on a family emergency and he would contact me when he got back. I totally understood.
2 weeks go by and nothing. I call back after 2 weeks the lady who answers the phone tells me he just got back that day and he would get in touch with me. It's been over a week now and still haven't heard from Frank or anyone at One Stop Sod. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone or Ryan King who was the lawn guy I used to purchase and lay the sod. BEWARE of both companies. Go somewhere else.

I buy from them all the time. The front desk lady has to be from New York hence the other reviews about being too rude. (Most Floridians aren't used to that kind of talk I think). Once you realize she's not being rude just "New Englandish" you realize she's not intending to offend it's just the way people from that region are. Never had any concerns with quality or diseased grass from them and I probably buy 5-6 pallets a year there.

I drove 40 minutes to pick up a few select pieces of sod that I called earlier in the day about. I arrived at the business exactly 1 minute after 5:30 (closing time). The girl working was on her way out and proceeded to tell me that they were closed and that I needed to come back at 8am. Poor customer service!!!! It was not like I arrived 10, 20, 30 minutes after business close, or that I needed multiple items. The sod I needed was right out in front of the business that I could have easily and quickly moved to my car, allowing for the girl to leave possibly 5 minutes later. This is not how you earn business or referrals. I strongly suggest management have a customer service class with the individual who was working the afternoon of 6-22-15.

The woman at the front counter was VERRRRRY RUDE!! I have never seen such an UNHAPPY DISGUSTED with life person ever!! She has no customer skills at ALL and should stay home with that NASTY ATTITUDE!! How can a business employ such a person I will NEVER buy from there ever!!! I will take my business elsewhere where you get treated like a customer!!

They are a good company. Just like any other sod place they will from time to time have quality issues. I recommend them!

If I could choose zero stars I would. I bought two palettes of palmetto from these folks. When it arrived it was dry and falling apart. Within two weeks 80% of it was completely brown. I'm out almost $400. When I called to question them about the sod they told me my sod was 'sick' and to call Dr. Jacks. Brand new sod - call the guy with chemicals. What a joke. Please do not waste your money on this unprofessional establishment.

These people are amazing! I needed sod for my yard to help replace a small area that had died. The lady who answered the phone was very helpful and very knowledgable. She helped me decide on how much sod I needed, it turned out that I only needed pieces which they have every day on the yard. I was able to pick them up at my convince. The Pieces looked awesome, the girls in the office helped out so much and told me about watering and fertilizing and told me I could call back anytime with questions or concerns. My sod is doing well and it looks great. This company is a great one they really care about their customers.
