Taido, meaning "way of the body," is a martial art form created in Japan by Seiken Shukumine as a response to the deemed changes that other martial arts, karate in particular, were not able to address. Taido techniques feature spinning and twisting movements, gymnastic maneuvers, speedy and effective footwork, and a changing body angle.
