In Arabic, the Mawlawiyyah. Founded by Rumi (Mawlana Jalal-ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi er-Rumi), a 13th century poet, jurist, and theologian. He was born in Balkh in modern Afghanistan, but lived most of his life in Konya in modern Turkey.
