Silas, also known as Silvanus, was a companion of Paul on his first missionary journey to Antioch and his second journey to Galatia. He went with Peter on missions in Pontus and Cappadocia and was Peter's scribe for the First Epistle of Peter.
Paul and Silas in Prison
